Disappointing! I feel like I went somewhere different to everyone else that has given a review. We were hoping to get some sandwiches and treats for lunch but there were no sandwiches and the cake counter was empty so no treats either. This place is also cash only which posed an additional problem for us. We might have left to get cash, but the lady serving didn't appear to speak any English anyway so no way of asking if there was cake elsewhere (there actually was, it was in a strange place that we didn't see until after we finished). Read moreSeems the cafe may now be closed and the owners looking for a buyer which is a shame :-( Part of the reason may be that the Tay Institute next door provides low cost refreshments on a "pay what you can" basis and is very popular with the older generation in the town.
The cafe has a pleasant interior, a calm atmosphere, and friendly service. I did not eat here but the coffee is excellent. There are also a couple of bistro tables outside to sit and watch the world go by.
