Good food and more importantly, excellent hospitality and first rate customer service.
My faith in the human race has been repaid!
I came across this place by accident as I was on an errand to Perth from my home in Cupar, on my motorbike. My fuel warning light came on as I was going through Newburgh, so I stopped for fuel. I noticed the cafe and decided to stop for a snack and drink. I managed to get the final free table. However, two elderly ladies entered the cafe looking for a table. As I was merely passing, and only having a small snack, I offered my seat to the ladies. I thought it was only the right thing to do. My food (Lorne sausage roll) was very fresh and tasty. But when I tried to settle my bill the owner gave me it for free due to my kind act of giving my table to the elderly ladies. I was speechless at the generosity of the owner for such a small act - one which was drilled into me as a child - it was only decent manners and left me very humbled.
Due to the attitude shown by the owner and the excellent quality of my food, I'd have no hesitation in recommending this place and will definitely make a point of visiting...
Read moreEverything about the food and drink here tastes home made and delicious. We bring friends here from time to time and it never disappoints. Always busy for obvious reasons. Very popular with the locals. Good portions, good value, lovely staff. As part of a small town garage it is great to see a small business thriving on providing affordable quality. 4 highly satisfied customers. Recommend everything we ate which included the Macaroni cheese and chips, soup and sandwich, mixed berry crumble with custard, millionaire shortbread (which complimented the latte beautifully) The latte was so good in fact I had another to take...

Was shocked to see the girl cook sausages and then immediately place the cheese toastie on the grill on top of where the sausage had been cooking. Asked her to stop and did she have a way of cooking without using the same place meat had been cooked and she said no. So I walked out. I wouldn't eat here since they have no regard for vegetarians, those with allergies, those who don't eat pork due to religious beliefs or h&s of food, very...
