Ordered a Fish Tea, the fish was cooked perfect it just flaked off and the chips were good nice and crisp fluffy inside. Great portion and good value for money. The Staff were very attentive to your needs. A Great local Caffe with modern decor👌

Such a welcoming cafe, more of a community! The boys couldn't be more welcoming. Really is a great local cafe that brings you everything. And is easy enough to do your work from. The iced coffees are just the best!!

My sister and i went here for lunch last Sunday with our 4 children, we ordered fries and curry sauce specifically asked for it not to be chippy chips and 2 panini's. Our order came out as chippy chips and 2 baguettes, My sister ate the baguette, I said to the young waitress only about the baguette we didn't want to cause a fuss, my baguette was taken away without an apology or offer of any other meal, we then went to pay and I said to the other waitress who was working I'm just making sure one baguette was taken off our order as I ordered a panini, she said yes it has but that was a panini you got. I said no it was a baguette that's why I sent it back as its not what I ordered, she then started giggling saying "im no even going to argue with you it was a panini" staff need a lot of training in this place sooner rather than later I have worked in restraunts for years and I know the difference between a baguette and a panini. Poor service and very poor attitude won't be returning...

My first experience of eating in this cafe since it changed hands. I only visited it once for ice cream which it is famous for and has built it's reputation. I ordered the mix food combo. This was served on a metal basket with chips. It consisted of fish, prawns, scamp and calamari. It was a lot of food for the price £7 or €8 (I think). It was nice how ever the prawns and scamp tasted funny. I realised they work cooked in beef fat. This was over shadowed the sweet taste of the prawns. The service was really good.

The waitresses were young and it was probably their first job so even though some errors were made in the grand scale of things they were negligible.

Overall I was impressed that this cafe was thinking outside the box with such food items as it's mixed seafood platter.

I believe it will do well for itself. Ditch the beef fat and hire an experience waiter/ waitress to help train it's staff and have a manager in place and all will be ok.

Keep thinking...

This is not going to be a positive review. Staff looked disinterested, couldn't be bothered properly to replenish the cutlery at the table so when our food came we were short of forks and had to ask for them. Also we were asked at ordering whether we wanted french fries style chips or regular chip shop chips. We went for french fries style chips, they brought us regular chip shop chips and seemed pretty unapologetic about it when we complained. Well just don't offer it if you don't have it, for crying out loud. This is basic stuff for a cafe, no? Food was utterly average and took so much time to arrive for what it was (chips and a panini - does that really take 15 minutes to cook? - the place wasn't even that busy). Worked out at £5 a head. You'd be better off nipping round the corner to the Co-op and buying a sandwich. Not great, bit of a dump all round....
