Orchid Lane — Restaurant in Scotland

We were recommended Orchid Lane and as our go to on a Tuesday is closed we thought we'd give it a go.

First and last time we will ever order from them. Complete waste of £30.

BBQ ribs - had absolutely no flavour and it was like chewing rubber. Salt and chilli chips - no salt and no chilli and every single chip was soggy. Curry sauce - was more like a gravy wallpaper paste. Rice - no idea how rice can go wrong but they certainly managed it. Crackers - probably the only good thing about the whole "meal". Irn Bru - £3.50 for 1litre is criminal alone but to get it hotter than the chips was something else.

Avoid at all costs, plenty better...

Just a huge thank you to the Orchid Lane for such a fantastic experience for my sisters 70th Birthday. This beautiful restaurant and staff were most accommodating from allowing us to set up early, helping with the decorations, changing tables it just goes on and on. The food was fantastic, the service unbelievable it was just the a beautiful night and my sister was so very very happy. If you are looking for a great evening this is the place to eat or hold a special occasion, stay local give it a go. Buy a Singapore style noodles 2 weeks ago which was plain noodles with veg sprouts nd meat ! I went in shop today again and asked do you add curry powder in Singapore style and he said if i want ! And talking about something its gonna be spicy !! And its still not curry powder in it instead they add chilli powder paprika or something not very spicy anyway !!

Start adding curry powder in Singapore style stir fry rice or noodles or take them out from your menu !! And educate your staff about what you selling !!
