China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Scotland

I give them the benefit of the doubt as ive worked in kitchens a lot and know how busy it can be but i ordered from here for meerley a chicken noodle soup, chips and prawcrackers. all very easy and quick things to make especialy since ive made all of them myself before. then for just eat to tell me they where on there way at half past 5 and i was still waiting till 20 past 6 when i made my order at half 4, i think this is rediculous and i wont be buying from them again even if the food itself was up to standard. prawn crackers take 30 seconds to cook chips take 5 mins in a deep fat fryer and soup you should have a basic set up allready at the perfect temperature on the go like all kitchens I've worked in which again 30 seconds to a minute to get the extras heated and the soup poured. theres no excuse that this meal could have taken no more than 10 20 mins to get done 40 minsfor business and then a further 10 15 mins for delivery since the distance is not that far away, i know as i travel further than haddington for my work every day. but i had to wait a further 55 mins almost an hour which is ridiculous they only have 2stars instead of one for the food...

Won tons were cremated. Ribs were dry and chewy and satay was with a curry sauce. (???)

One of the party ordered chicken breast fried rice and it came smothered in gravy. They had ordered curry sauce to go with it and when we explained, we were shouted at and told this is what the menu said. When he brought the menu, it in fact said “chicken breast fried rice” and he continued to try to force us to keep the dish. “It’s just a little sauce”. After saying we didn’t want it he reluctantly took it away and brought what he enforced a NORMAL chicken fried rice. He was pretty aggressive and made us feel uncomfortable.

None of the dishes had any veg. It was incredibly average.

Wouldn’t come back and waste my money.

P.s. Diet...

Just home from our meal & we are all disappointed. The food was nice, no complaints about the taste but the restaurant was freezing so the food got cold as quickly as we did. Price- very high, £13 per dish as a minimum, which would be acceptable somewhere else but we were in a very basic setting & seated in the takeaway runway, we did not buy any drinks. Delivery drivers & staff were backwards & forwards with the door opening & letting in more cold. There was just nothing special about the place, it did not feel like a treat as a meal out should & the hygiene of our server was also off putting We would not revisit The takeaway was very popular.
