Such a terrible service and bad quality food but it's mainly the service that shocked us.

When we arrived, we joined the queue, not sure how to get a table as the queue seemed to be for takeaway only. A waiter came to the door and asked the people behind us if they wanted a table, since we were there first, we pointed that out, he apologised and invited us in, but that was still a discomfort that should've been avoided.

We arrived at 12:30pm, the restaurant was half empty with plenty of nice tables, but the only one that waiter offered us was right beside the toilets with views of either the wall or the toilet, not even each others. Shocked, we asked to move table, and were about to seat at the closest one available when he stopped us and told us to seat in the empty, cold and isolated conservatory as that was, according to him, the only other table for 2 available.

Again, the restaurant was not busy when we arrived, it did not get busier when we ate and it was still not busier when we left. So I can't understand why this waiter decided to give us terrible tables, maybe it was because I'm a foreigner, maybe it's because he didn't like the colour of my shoes, either way, this was absolutely not acceptable and ruined my day.

On a lighter note, we had 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches and they both tasted pretty bad. The coffees were burned and the...

We have always used this coffee shop whenever we are in luss Without any complaints or issues HOWEVER we decided to go for Coffee while in Luss on Sunday 10thAug it was a bit busy we waited at the door until an assistant asked us how many people told her two of us she said someone will be with us shortly Fine not a problem then a young guy came over and said a table at the back was free told us to follow him which I did my husband was behind me he was shouted at “where do you think your going ?by a woman who works there I got to the table the young guy started clearing it for us I put my bad over the chair as this same woman barged up to me shouting “ there is a waiting list” I looked at her explaining the young guy told us to sit here her nasty response was “ well HE doesn’t know there’s a list” I replied neither did I she then had the cheek to ask if I wanted my name on HER list told her no thanks and turned around and walked out what a rude nasty piece of work you don’t treat customers like that and I will be expecting an apology from this establishment if anyone from the coach house reads this they will be able to identify this wee nasty little woman we will never be back and will tell friends and family...

Very dog friendly - our dogs and us were very warmly greeted - the most dog friendly place we've ever been to! Food was delicious. We had the tomato soup & the gluten free option came with clapshot (mashed potato, turnip & butter) as there was no gf bread - a really tasty combination. Lots of choice for coffees (mocha is pictured) & teas & lots of cake including a gf option (shortbread - pictured). Service was quick and friendly and everything was very well presented. No outdoor seating but plenty inside although can imagine it must get very busy in Summer. Flat wheelchair friendly entrance but not sure about any wheelchair friendly tables. Parking may be a little tricky. We managed to find a spot on the road leading to the main part of Luss village, but otherwise there is a carpark a little further away but it's a pleasant enough walk on a sunny day. Very close to the banks of Loch Lomond which allows for a pleasant afternoon stroll. Well...

Easter visit. A wonderful find, such a beautiful building. Indoor and outdoor seating available, there's a takeaway counter too. Small gift shop with local fayer. The facilities are well kept and clean with a larger toilet for those who need space, baby changing, or room to manage all the little ones. I had to check out the particular tartan theme, which very appropriately was the Loch Lomond District Tartan. Good stokie (bread roll), scone, savoury, and soup menu. Good ice-cream, cake, and sweet treats menu. Extensive drinks menu too, I opted for the house blend Scottish Tea to go with my lemon drizzle cake, which was delicious. Staff were helpful, friendly, and very welcoming. Dogs are welcomed, and you can buy fabulous edible treats for them here.

As a location it's very nice, the service was quick and efficient, however the pricing way over the top for what's on the menu. The hot drinks options are at the upper end of costs but not outrageous, that cannot be said regarding the food and traybake options. Over £3 for a piece of shortbread can't be justified even taking into account it's a seasonal setting. Nearly £6 for a bowl of soup and a hunk of bread again is too much, this is taking advantage of tourists in a way that should be consined to history. We want tourists to feel they haven't been ripped off and more likely to return or recommend Scotland as a place to stay as well as value for money.
