On a trip back from Edinburgh to Northumberland we were in need of a coffee and something quick to eat.
Stopping in Jedburgh at 5.15pm on a weekday we found it hard to find somewhere open and serving food. After a walk around we found that the Coffe Corner cafe in the marketplace had its door open despite being past its closing time.
The lady inside was closing up but was happy to get us two takeaway coffees, a quiche and a slice of strawberry cheese cake. What a relief after a long drive!
The coffee was good, the quiche tasty and the cheese cake really nice.
What made our visit even more worthwhile was the arrival of the annual riding through the town. What a nice surprise to happen to be in the right place at the right time to see this traditional equestrian...
