Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

Today’s experience at Costa Dundee Kingsway Retail Park was far from acceptable . Employees body language who were behind the counter at 4pm was showing disrespect towards customers: not looking directly at us while serving, not paying attention to the order. Man who served us today - not very tall, dark hair, with foreign accent, while taking the order after I scanned my Costa card without asking just took my free drink of the order . I do not appreciate when people decide for me. He could at least ask me if I wish to have one of my two coffees ( 2 hazelnut lattes) for free. Normally I collect at least two free drinks and then take my friends for a treat. Then while waiting for my coffees I have noticed that they were making them in “To Go” cups. I have said “ Apologies, but this should be sitting in order”, lady looked at me and the same man shrugged his shoulder and said “ I asked “ , well no he didn’t asked he just assumed AGAIN. This Costa location has recently opened on the 9th of February. I visited on the 10th and bought drinks to takeaway. The staff were polite and friendly and I was served straight away. I ordered two hot chocolates to take away and they were slightly cold but the taste was okay. I'm sure if I asked they would have remade the drinks. This store has a small seating area indoors and a small seating area outdoors. There are toilets within although these are not accessible toilets so this is something to bare in mind. This store accepts contactless and mobile payments as well as cash. They also accept the Costa loyality card and you can earn points through purchases made here. It's the only Costa Coffee location outside of the city centre so it is very convenient especially with the late...

I have had many lovely experiences at this Costa however today’s experienced showed how kind and considerate the staff are here! I was welcomed with very friendly staff and after having such a pleasant conversation with the staff one staff member realised it was my birthday and to my complete surprise he went the extra mile and gave me a complimentary cake as a birthday treat! Such little touches makes a huge difference to one’s day. If you’re ever around Dundee definitely pop into Kingsway Retail Park’s Costa. And a special shout-out to Mack who made my experience...
