Cous Cous — Restaurant in Scotland

I ordered from Cous Cous last night as part of a large order for a local workplace. When it finally arrived 80 minutes after ordering we quickly discovered a chicken schwarma was missing. By this time I was no longer wanting the food so phoned back and asked for a refund instead. The guy who answered wouldn't listen and repeatedly said they would send it now before hanging up. 25mins later it arrived and on starting to eat it I was primarily disappointed with the heat of the food. Given that the delivery address is approximately half a mile from Cous Cous I would expect the food to be very hot when it arrived. Instead it was lukewarm at best. That was not the worst part though. To call their attempt at chicken schwarma vile would be an understatement. Once I dug my way past the obscene amount of food dye I was confronted with what they referred to as "chicken". I eat chicken most days and this bore no resemblance to that meat whatsoever. I also assume that Cous Cous thinks that a schwarma seasoning is just salt as that's all I could taste. There wasn't a hint of any other flavours. The chilli sauce too was bland at best and likely used the equivalent amount of sugar that they used of salt on the "chicken".

Obviously I never ate this abomination so called back again asking for a refund. Both members of staff I spoke to couldn't care less and just kept repeating the same thing over and over. This place has no idea what food tastes like from the part of the world they pertain to offer. Avoid it at all costs unless you have a salt or sugar deficiency and appreciate awful...

Extremely disappointed with the customer service!! This is my favourite takeaway and although delivery times can be slow on weekends it is usually worth the wait! We ordered 4 kebab meals at the weekend and were prepared to wait the hour and a half for delivery. When it arrived there was only 3 kebab meals and a portion of chips so I called the takeaway straight away. The person apologised and said we would receive the other meal very soon. After waiting another hour on my mixed kebab, which hadn't arrived, I called back. I was told that I would not receive my kebab as the driver said it was delivered. I tried to explain that there were 4 boxes in the bag but one was a portion of chips which we didn't order and wasn't the larger box containing my mixed kebab. The man on the phone was very abrupt and aggressive and made me feel like I was a criminal and told me that I would not receive my meal or a refund then he hang up! This was my favourite takeaway and I usually recommend but I will never return to Couscous cuisine and will never recommend...

Usually good but very rude this evening. Food was nearly an hour late and the delivery guy didn't even give us a chance to talk. They have our number to call and they didn't even have the decency to call and say "the food will be late I'm sorry about that" we called up to complain but the person who answered the phone was very rude and kept interrupting when my fiance and I asked a question. Common decency says to respect a customer and call them to let them know that the order would be late. edit: food finally came and my panini was burnt!
