Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Scotland

I don’t normally leave reviews however the service in here is so poor I feel it’s needed. This has to be the slowest barista/service I have experienced. I’ve been in here a few times over the year to grab a “quick” coffee before work but the workers are painfully slow. Cream runs out- no replacement cream so everything stops while that one barista gets another one. No skimmed milk in fridge so everything stops while they go and get more from the back. No tables free apart from dirty ones with used plates and cups, que all the way back to the door. One barista making drinks with 6 tickets on the counter and you’re waiting 15 minutes to get a coffee to grab and go. Every visit I have had this has been the experience I have had more or less. The most stressful visit to a coffee shop, staff were very COVID aware but that was it. No compassion or humanity they were very rude. Couldn’t order until scanned in and made everyone wait as she needed proof. Another customer wanted a pot of tea scan wouldn’t work and she was getting more and more distressed. A lady needed to sit down and test her blood sugar she was shooed off the table as her husband hadn’t scanned yet and the assistant muttered loudly and rudely towards her. I understand that measures are in place for a very good reason but we were all treated with contempt and lack of humanity, lack of trust or compassion and made to feel unclean. I am a massive fan of costa and I come regularly and always have a good experience, however today’s experience had me physically shaking with anger. In the Springfield Costa in Elgin - the Assistant Manager ‘Roberto Ferreira’ was disgustingly rude! He was shouting across the coffee room telling us we couldn’t sit down until tables had been cleaned and when we asked who was cleaning them he got really rude and sarcastic with his responses! He then was acting in a rushed fashion even though there was no queue Of people - he made us feel like we weren’t important and we almost walked out due to this.
