SYMPOSIUM coffee house ELGIN — Restaurant in Scotland

Having been in several Symposiums we like the crispy bacon bagel and the smoked salmon bagel, they always seem the same in everyone, not something you can say about other chains, especialy Caffe Nero. This is the first time we have been in one in a major store and habe to say, yes it was the same as all the others. This is a good thing as you can rely on it. The crispy bacon was very crispy and the partner said the salmon one was equaly as good. The coffee is strong and hot and the flat whites are how they should be so well done for maintaining the standard even in Asda. (Our favourite is still the one in Ellon though, just because😉) Wee update called in again as we were in the area 2 days later but just wanted a coffee and cake. Chose a cheese scone and have to say, it was very cheesy and quite light considering. Some scones can be quite claggy but this wasn't. Had it slightly warmed and again,...

Went in at lunch time with my Daughter in law, and Daughter and two small children for a sandwich and coffee, unfortunately there is no child’s menu, but no problem the girl serving us offered a Ham sandwich, for the children (aged 2). Adults ordered coffees hot chocolate, bacon and cream cheese sandwich and two chicken mayonnaise sandwiches. All prepared and brought to the table and not to long to wait, fantastic! STOP there the Chicken Mayonaise sandwiches were Hot, yes the chicken was hot and far too much mayonnaise. I went up to the counter to ask about the chicken being hot and was told that customers had complained the chicken was too cold so they had started heating it in the microwave!!!

This cozy little coffee shop offers the best coffee and pancakes I've ever had! Honestly, everything on the menu is exceptional—it's truly a five-star experience. In my opinion, Café Nero, Costa, and Starbucks don't even come close to the quality here. If you're in Moray, you need to try it for yourself to see what I mean!

The service is outstanding as well. The staff are incredibly friendly and engage with every customer, making the experience even more enjoyable. This is my second visit, and I’ll definitely be coming...
