Whoever works front of house should stick to another hobby. Customer service is dire. No polite greeting; just barked at and told that every table is full before enquiring. The outside (on a sunny pleasant day) was open, however we weren’t given the option until we pushed it. And a rude response of ‘well if you want to ‘. This review is about the rude and unwelcoming behaviour. Also, ordering just two pots of tea seemed to send this ‘front of house’ in a tailspin because it took 30mins and another 15 to accompany the two cakes ordered at the same time! I like to think this was an off day, but we experienced the exact same thing the past two years… it’s almost funny except it’s rude. Maybe they feel they can get away with it, being so remote. But it’s just bad manners. Get a grip owners of #cosycorner of #balmacara just be better. Also, big shout out to the gal who actually cooked all the amazing food; she was...

My wife and I spent 4 weeks holiday in the area of Balmacara, (June 23) we ate on many occasions at the (Cosy Corner Cafe), and that is something we do not do if We're not impressed with the quality of food and service, the owners both chef/cook and front of house, prepare and serve well presented and very tasty food dishes from a good choice menu, and you certainly will not be disappointed in the selection of cakes, sweets, and coffee, roll on next year. Many Thanks to Cathy and Caitlin they are 2 special...

WHY have tables outside and prevent customers using them? Was not willing to serve me a latte to drink outside but I could have a instant coffee outside! Madness!

Zero customer service and unfriendly welcome. Wanted to sit outside as we had a dog and the sun was shining, but was refused as other people would expect to eat outside!

Would avoid this cafe. The two ladies running the cafe would benefit from a training course on how to deliver good customer experiences. I...

Very beautiful and friendly cafe with good menu to have breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner. It is inside the balamcara estate opposite to the pond at the square. The food was amazing and very filling ofcourse with lovely mountain views. I wiuld love to go there again. The price is resonable for the quantity. The coffee was great... Highly recommend. Parking: Yes, Balamcara parking Toilet: No, inside the cafe

Such a lovely coffee shop, very friendly staff, and one of the nicest coffees we have had in a long time with a very good cake to share (apple and cinnamon spice). It's situated in a beautiful village opposite the duck pond. We had to sit outside as we have dogs so if it had been raining we wouldn't have stopped sadly, lucky for us the weather was good.

Highly recommend! Situated in Balmacara square with loads of lovely walking routes nearby, the cosy corner is a warm and welcoming spot for a bit of lunch and a cuppa! We really enjoyed our lunch, piping hot and tasty with huge portions we struggled to finish! Great selection of homemade sweet treats we will definitely be back!
