Crofters — Restaurant in Scotland

A friend and I dined here for breakfast, we had American Pancake breakfast and Pancakes with bacon and syrup and they were delicious. We also had lattes and it’s the best latte I’ve ever had! It’s worth mentioning they do alternative milk for them with intolerances/allergies - lots of cakes also!!

The staff were very friendly and polite. Service was quick even though it got really busy, really quickly 👌🏾

We enjoyed it that much we are going back to try the dinner menu 🙂 next review coming up……

Well what can I say the dinner menu did not disappoint. I was gutted I missed the lasagna on the specials menu as lasagna is my favourite dish and I only missed it as it was sold out due to its popularity. Instead we both had Fish and Chips and wow it was delicious the fish was lightly battered and we could tell the fish was fresh. The fish was that large of couldn’t even finish mine and I felt rather guilty when they took my plate back into the kitchen. The chips were cooked to perfection 👌🏾 and the salad was lovely, it wasn’t just any plain salad either it was drizzled in balsamic vinegar and went really well with the fish and chips!

I’m so glad we choose to come back!

Amazing place to eat, amazing food, amazing...

Friday 18th April 25, just after 10. Very popular as it's a tourist trap. We walked in and had to wait to be seated. There was 1 person in front who seemed to get bored waiting so left. We waited about 1 minute for 1 of the 2 front of house to come over to seat us which was a waste of time as we basically chose our table. Another group had joined the queue behind us. And while we sat a second group came in. Unfortunately it goes down hill from here. The first group after us knew someone obviously as they were greeted like a regular and were served before us and then, for some reason, the second group were also served before us too. I gesticulated to a member of staff as if to say what's going on? She basically ignored me. Then we were seen to. We just had two small breakfasts and 2 coffees. Unfortunately the sausages were unevenly cooked and the toast was a very small piece. It was all hot though. We ate our food and when I went to pay I mentioned to the staff member about not being served in the order of arrival. At that point you should just apologise. I don't want to hear your excuses. It is just poor communication and organisation by the only two members of staff on. So you only get 1 for service...

Second trip after pancakes and bacon on Sunday. That came with the right amount of maple syrup. Today was the mega burger which was amazing. Two big patties and crispy onion rings. Chips were crispy and lovely. Great service on both visits. Highly recommended if in the area. 6/23 Service still great, friendly and helpful. Nice seating area outside for dogs and some water. The food is excellent, the burger as good as remembered, but forgot how amazing the fries were. 5 bean nachos are tasty and good to share. One day we will find space for cake. Still highly recommend. 6/24 Clue in how we love this lace is we have had breakfast here 3 days running. Perfect eggs, my wife is fussy with them. The American breakfast is tasty and filling. Great view when you sit outside and dog friendly. Service is always warm and friendly. Hoping to fit in a dinner here before we go home. 6/25 Another year and glad to be back here. Scampi and chips was lovely and a good size portion. The American breakfast was also a great way to start the day. Service is always nice and friendly.
