Lovely cafe
we wanted to go somewhere for brunch/lunch, Balloch have very few places for lunch, couple are very expensive, like £8-10 for sandwich, the rest don’t have anything I would like. That cafe is pretty outside with stained glass on the windows, basic inside but nice enough. Food was good for the value which was quite cheap. Range bagels, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, paninis, rolls and all day breakfast, some sweet treats too, coffee latte was good too. Highly recommend if you fancy supporting local businesses rather than expensive chain places

What an amazing cafe, every time we visit the food is consistently amazing, we cannot fault this cafe for anything, the All Day Breakfast is second to none and the New York Club sandwich is fantastic! The staff are always pleasant and friendly. The lentil soup and the croissants, toasties and sandwiches are also all very tasty! If you are in the area The Fountain CafĂ© is definitely the place to go for a lunch or even just a cup of tea and a light snack! We live this place 😁👍

I moved away from the Vale many years ago. This café was and still is known amongst locals as Freddies Cafe. I used to go here from time to time with my mum and sister. I was visiting the Vale Cemetery with my wife and she said she would like to go for a coffee. I'm so glad we went in here, it's just as good now as it was in the 1970's when I was a kid. I'm looking forward to going back again.

Came in today for a takeaway order. Ordered the breakfast and clearly stated no black pudding or hash brown and just to add extra potatoe scones. Get home and find I have the both items I didn’t want. also ordered a salad box and that was just not good at all, it had a sandwhich a bit coleslaw and some crisps? Where the salad? Just wasted money for food that wasn’t correct. Lady at till friendly and took order down correct and passed it to the guy who took the order so wasn’t her fault at all. Needless to say this is 2nd time this has happened so won’t be back, had order food in now and pay more...
