Popped in on what appeared to be a very busy Saturday night. Even though we did not have a booking, the lovely girl who greeted us managed to find us a seat after speaking to the manager. We ordered a house glass of red wine, a large bottle of moretti, 2 pizzas, and a side of chips, which came to just over £40 (great value). All the food was delicious, cooked well, and we really enjoyed it. The house wine is very bitter and not to my liking, so will order a better quality next time. Every staff member we spoke to/engaged with were very friendly and professional. From observation of the general atmosphere restaurant, I would say the manager needs to relax a bit more as he can appear very tense and fraught, resulting in you feeling uneasy as a diner. Overall, a tasty meal and I would return.

A hidden gem in Peebles! Do you love good food? Are you into bikes — whether vintage or brand new? Do you appreciate that warm, authentic Southern European hospitality? Then don’t think twice — this place is an absolute must in Peebles! We stopped here for lunch with a friend and had a fantastic time. Francisco welcomed us like old friends, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just what we needed. Whether you're passing through or a local, don’t miss out — we’ll definitely be back next time life brings us to Peebles!

Decent food, but unfortunately tourist trap prices so expect to pay over £100 for a family of four. Service was ok this time, only let down by staff being too busy with a big/busy/rowdy table demanding shots - not the restaurants fault! *service has been better in the past. It’s a small and cosy venue, upstairs seating only, but can get cramped, busy and noisy on a holiday weekend having been here several times. The staff do make up for this though. Highlight was tiramisu👌 5 🌟 Pizza 4 ⭐ Value for money 3.5 ⭐ Staff/service 4 🌟

Our son booked us into Francos for our wedding anniversary, he initially booked us a booth but received a telephone call from the restaurant saying the booth would need to be free by 7.30pm so would we prefer a window table, we said yes.

Turned up for our meal to be shown to a table next to the bar, we asked what happened to the window table we had been promised and was told, nothing is guaranteed and the person we spoke to on the phone wasn't allowed to take bookings, basically they blamed it all on Laurel/Lauren who took our booking.

When we asked about a window table, we were shown to a table at the other end of the restaurant, basically a storage area with loads of chairs stacked nearby.

We asked to speak to Franco who said we could either have the table at the bar or in the storage area, and that was it, merry Christmas (his actual words to us!) Absolutely no customer service, no apology, just we should accept we are eating at Franco's and not worry about the table.

We voted with our feet and left, we have visited this restaurant on may occasions but won't bother again. Can highly recommend the Tontine, who fitted us in and gave...

If you're looking for a truly Italian atmosphere and delicious pizza in Peebles, then Franco’s is the perfect place. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by friendly staff who do everything to make your visit enjoyable. The waiters are attentive, take orders quickly, and are always happy to recommend something special from the menu.

The food here is incredible! The pizza is baked on thin, crispy dough, and the toppings are always fresh and high quality. I was especially impressed by the classic Margherita – a perfect balance of tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil. It's also worth trying the Penne alla Lorna – a dish with a rich flavor that pasta lovers will truly appreciate.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy, and the stylish interior makes you feel like you've stepped into a small family pizzeria in Italy. The owner, Franco, often interacts with guests, adding a special charm to the place.

Overall, Franco’s is a place you'll want to return to. Excellent service, authentic Italian cuisine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere make this restaurant a true gem in Peebles. I highly...

Booked for early hogmanay night, we were welcmed by a lovely cheery waitress that showed us to our table unfortunately we found that the table under a window was rather draughty and the restaurant was on the cold side. After a few minutes the owner showed us to a central table and had advised that the heating was now on. Food ordered, garlic mushrooms to start very nice and tasty, mains for me was the canalone again very tasty and hot but found that the tomato puree had no cream base, wife ordered pizza campaniola but was advised only pizza margareta with tomatoes was available the wine was OK. When we received the bill we noticed that a charge of £1 was added for the 4 slices of tomato on the pizza. Now considering that without the £1 added our bill for two came to £56.58. Need I...
