The Cozy Kitchen — Restaurant in Scotland

The food was sadly underwhelming. I tried the special lamb shawarma £10 with pita bread and yoghurt and mint dressing. And a black coffee. The coffee despite having two shots was still fairly bland, the shawarma was very disappointing it was more like a lamb meat loaf and was bulked out with something that wasn't meat, it was bland and very dry and the yoghurt and mint dressing also bland, the salad that came with it had more flavour. Maybe the rest of the food is better but this was terrible. Also I think £6.50 for a sausage roll is too expensive yes they are a bit bigger than normal ones but I feel it's too expensive for such. The atmosphere was ok, and the staff were friendly...

A complete surprise as this cafe has had a face lift: The Cosy Cafe is now an incredible space for delicious coffee and baked goods x Open before 10 am means you can have an early “ before work” breakfast as exquisite as French toast ( the special that day ) with blueberries and compote ! Elle served and she is a delight . I will return as it’s always lovely to find a new and wonderfully run cosy cafe - open earlier than all other cafes in the area x spread...

The Cozy Kitchen is a must-stop for anyone living in or traveling through Peebles. The duo running this cafe take excellent care of their guests.
