Lovely tearoom/restaurant in heart of Braemar. Family run business think it's at least 100 years going. Looks like it's been recently refurbished. Lovely decor very warm and inviting. We visited on a very cold day after a long motorbike journey . Sat right beside the radiator which was very welcome . We started with 2 steaming hot chocolates too get us warmed up , I had mine with whipped cream , proper cream from gas gun not the watery deflating sort from an aerosol can 😁. We were both hungry so opted for main meal/lunch options . Husband had the chicken escalope which turned out to be a huge flattened and breaded chicken breast on a fresh roll served with tomato, cucumber and sauce with piping hot skin on chips ,salad and coleslaw he said it was delicious I believe him , nothing was left . I had cod and pancetta fish cakes with same skin on chips, salad and coleslaw and a pot of tartare sauce . Mine was also demolished , delicious. There was a cake counter with lots of home baking that looked delicious but we sadly had to get back on the road. They do takeaway food , all day breakfasts, soup , sandwiches/toasties and various more filling fare. Will definitely visit again . Staff were very attentive and...

Was most disappointed with this tea room I had visitors up staying and I recommend we go into here for something to eat. I had been in a few years ago and it was really nice. Not now. The staff were chatting in the kitchen, all the tables were needing cleared, when ordering the staff member didn't get the order correct and one item we asked for was finished ,so was the next item but 3rd time lucky. My apple crumble cake came out and couldn't even cut with a knife it was that hard, and guess what no more as it was finished so had to choose something else. The teas came out after we were served the food. But the toasty never appeared and we had to ask where it was no sorry was given. Staff back in kitchen speaking to each other and still tables not cleaned. Will not recommend or be back Shame as it used to be a...

Good food and a lovely tearoom, however, call me old fashioned but when you go into an eatery as a couple you expect to eat as a couple. We ordered soup for 1 then a toastie and a sausage bun with tea and coffee to come with the sandwiches. Within 2 minutes we had our tea and coffee, no soup or sandwich. My wife’s toastie arrived but no soup for me yet. She is halfway through and I eventually get my soup, which was lovely but could have been warmer. I then got my sandwich, wife all finished and my coffee is cold. It’s not difficult to get right but the emphasis seems to be, get out on the table what we can and deliver the rest when it’s ready. Otherwise it could have...

This must be the best place for coffee and light meals in Braemar ! Everything in the restaurant is very pleasant and well presented and looks new. The manager is very friendly and gives a very friendly welcome when you arrive. There is a great variety of food on offer. We had Parsnip and Neep soup served with homemade bread and a Cheese and Tomato toastie along with some tea. We can’t wait to go back for more it was so good, thanks.

Such a lovely stuff for a light lunch and tea! I highly recommend trying this place out, we really enjoyed our tea and food! I had the ham and cheese sandwich and it was delicious, and the bacon roll was great as well. A great location with street parking, and there is a few cute shops to check out near here as well.

We stopped by as we explored Royal Deeside. The staff were fantastic and really friendly despite having such a busy day! The food was brilliant: especially the pork pie - I think I’ll be hard pressed to find another as tasty! Lovely wee place: we really enjoyed our little pit stop there!
