Irvine’s Bakery is very good local bakery. Two sections form this very popular shop. The main shop sell a vast selection of both savory and sweet items. There are pies and pasties, quiche and potato scones. Then you may consider cream cakes and scones, brownies and shortbread and biscuits and macaroons. In the mornings most of the savouries can be served warm from the microwave or grill, and this is a very popular breakfast or lunch with the local tradesmen. This practice can cause a small crowding problem as people wait for their hot pies etc and sometimes crowd out those who are waiting to pay after selecting a box of cakes. Still, crowds show just how popular this shop is. Alongside the busy shop, there is a seating area serving tea, coffee and soft drinks to accompany your choice of savoury items or sugary delight. Both parts of the shop can be extremely busy and are a bit too crowded to negotiate with a wheelchair. That said I've been here and always made welcome...
