Turned up tonight with my son to get food and a wee freebie he had built up on his app by buying numerous meals, first bad experience was when I went over to the counter to ask how my son went about getting his free item however as I stood for about 5 minutes while a heavy set woman and another woman with a foreign accent stood and spoke to someone in what looked like an office at the end of the counter made eye contact but never once ask if they could help me or tell me they wouldn't be long, so at that point I walked back to my son at the table and we both tried to work out what we needed to know, then we both approached the counter to be approached by a young girl with blonde hair and glasses who was very polite and clean who tried to help with our request, eventually we put our order in, while waiting for our order this young boy starts walking round to the front counter from the back fryers, on his way round he rubbed his nose all the way up the sleeve of his top, then touches his nose with his fingers then lifts his cap and runs his fingers through his head and hair, then starts to put an order together and puts it in a bag so I said to the young blonde girl if that is my order I am not accepting it and she asked why so I told her then she told the heavy set woman who started to rant about the reason she didn't serve me was because she was busy however this was in a rude manner until I interrupted her and told her that it was nothing to do with her not speaking to me or serving me and told her about what I just witnessed the boy doing so she said I never saw him do that and guess what? No apology in any way shape or form, so got my newly made order which I hope was made by someone hygienically proud and left, sorry for the long story folks but to cut it short then avoid kfc nitshill road at all cost, as far as hygiene goes I would be surprised if most of the staff in that place could spell it never mind follow hygiene. ?(Avoid...
Read moreThis branch of KFC is absolutely shocking. Disorganised, slow service, staff hanging around in the kitchen laughing and messing about (we even saw one member of staff today walking into the kitchen in his outside clothes!), there's always something from the menu unavailable, machines are often out of order (today it was the soft drinks dispenser, but on previous visits it has been the coffee machine and the receipt printer), and rarely is every item on an order supplied first time. We waited 12 minutes from ordering to receive our food today, and upon receipt we were missing a portion of Hot Wings, a piece of chicken, my partner's Tango was flat/still, and my 'white' coffee didn't have any milk in it. And even rectifying errors takes ages, meaning that you end up standing at the counter waiting, while the rest of your food goes cold. We were rather entertained today, as we watched every customer who was served before/after us being obligated to return to the counter because something in their order was wrong. Even the staff were starting to smirk in nervous embarrassment at the number of errors, just in the 45 minutes or so that we were there. And I stress, this is far from the first time. Generally, we love KFC, but we deliberately avoid coming to the Darnley branch for months at a time, because we always have experiences like this. And every now and then, we relent and decide to "give it one more chance", just in case they've sorted themselves out since last time. But nope. Absolutely hopeless. Definitely avoid this branch, it's really not worth it. In fact, if I could review "zero...
Read moreWorst KFC in Glasgow (maybe Scotland). As an unashamed, longstanding fan of the Colonel, it pains me to say this. There are several good KFC's in Glasgow but this one is really bad news and should be shut down.
Every single time I've been to this KFC its been a horrible experience, why: toilets and hygiene are beyond awful, disabled toilets that dont lock without toilet paper. Floor always swimming urine. Garbage is always strewn everywhere because of constant staff shortages. I had gone one day when the tils wouldn't produce ANY receipts and not because theyd run out paper!!! High staff turnover (is anyone staying beyond a week?) Means no one knows hows to do anything. They also look like they hate their lives (I would to working under this kind of garbage management). The bread is always stale and dry (past expiry date) and the chicken is dripping in oil. Would this survive a health and safety inspection? I'm really not sure how this particular venue hasnt been shut down. This is not KFC as you would want or expect it, instead its a run down, neglected pit of misery for the staff and customers and it shows. The franchise owner/ manager of this particular KFC should have their license revoked - they are clearly unfit to manage any franchise and giving KFC a bad name. Avoid like the plague. Drive another 5 miles to find any other KFC...
