Came here for a family birthday meal. Must say it was disappointing. We were told that we could pick from the festive menu which we did and it stated that it was £19.95 per head. We where told not to worry if there was something not on the menu that we wanted it could be sorted ( later found out when paying the bill there is a £5 charge for changes). The chicken was of poor quality. One of the curries arrived with a long black hair tangled into the chicken. When we brought this up we were told that none of the staff has hair like that and it was implied that it came from one of us you couldn't even pull the hair from the curry it was that tangled. For it to be suggested that we planted a hair in the curry was crazy we even asked if the cameras worked so we could prove we didn't (cameras dont work so couldn't get them to look). The atmosphere after this was terrible and made us all feel extremely uncomfortable to the point I didn't finish my own meal or eat the pudding. When we were being served our meals in the middle of conversation the chap proceeded to shout "attention" every time he placed down a meal, felt I was in an army barracks instead of a relaxing meal. So finally the bill came which was just under £300. For myself, my husband and 2 kids our part of the bill came to £85 for 2x £19.95 set meals 2.5 pints of coke and 2x chicken nuggets and chips and 2x drinks for kids so £45 for kids meals and drinks. We all felt totally scammed when asked to break down the bill we were told it's all there just look. The only saving grace was the 2 girls who help serve us they couldn't have been anymore helpful well done to them but poor show from the other staff. Fair to say we...
Read moreBooked for a large party a few weeks prior to the reservation date, spoke to the manager on the phone who had agreed a “private buffet” at a cost of £18.95 per person only if “we paid in cash”. I called prior to the booking to confirm final numbers which was 5 less than originally booked, there was never a conversation of a cancellation policy.
We were charged for the 5 extra people who could not make it, even thought it was a shared buffet with people not in our party (not a private buffet after all) - no food waste but still charged. I spoke to the manager to query this who became aggressive insisting he did tell me about the cancellation policy on the phone, which is untrue. I advised I brought the correct amount in cash plus a tip, so would not be able to leave a tip if this was the case - to which the manager responded that he “didn’t care” that the staff couldn’t get a tip.
Overall, a special occasion tainted by terrible management. Can’t say that I could recommend
I advised the manager that I would be leaving a poor review to which he replied “I can’t wait to reply to you” in a sarcastic and...
Read moreFirst time in this restaurant and it will probably be the last. We ordered mushroom pakora to start with and in amongst it was a bit of chicken pakora so watch out for this if your a vegi. Our main course was actually nice but the atmosphere surrounding us was awful. The man with the plaster on his nose maybe the manager was such a rude man, he was clearly bullying the young waitress girls infront of us, shouting at them infront of us it was really awkward. You can tell the girls really hate him the coward that he is can only bully woman!! We were the last table still sitting at 9pm (the restaurant wasn't busy for a Sat night we were 1 of 3 tables). The man with the plaster on his nose was pacing up and down you could tell he was wanting rid of us. He then brought a painter and decorater in while we were having our coffees and he was ordering him about now things like that should be done when restaurant is closed not at 9pm on a Sat night. I could go on but I will leave it there. I would avoid this place and spend your money...
