Read moreSEHR ENTTAEUSCHT!!! Unfreundlichen Service gibts in Deutschland schon genug! Schade um den schoenen Ort! Produkte waren gut, jedoch sehr hoch! UND LEIDER AUCH KRITIK UNFAEHIG, ICH BIN FAST 70 JAHRE ALT, SCHWERBEHINDERT UND HABE DEN WEITEN WEG AUF MICH GENOMMEN UM EURE BAECKEREI ZU BESUCHEN UND DANN UNTERSTELLT MAN MIR DAS ICH KEINEN RESPEKT FUER DEN VERKAEUFER HABE? UND WENN MAN HINTER DER SCHEIBE "NUR ERAHNEN" KANN WAS DIE KUNDSCHAFT MOECHTE, WARUM DANN DIE SCHEIBE? IN MEINEM BERUFSLEBEN STAND ICH JAHRELANG HINTER EINER SCHEIBE. DA GAB ES EIN KLEINES MIKROFON UND LAUTSPRECHER....UND EGAL OB ES MIR GUT GING ODER NICHT, WAR ICH IMMER HOEFLICH, WEIL ICH MEINE KUNDSCHAFT RESPEKTIERT HABE!
VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! The old guy behind the sales/order counter (which is completely enclosed by a stationary window) is an absolute "NO GO!!!" Though there is a warning sign on display "beware of grumpy old men" I thought of it as being funny. But then it turned out to be a (bad) joke. Iniatially I wanted to buy a rye bread, however, there wasn't any. With a grim face he pointed to two different breads, but I couldn't decipher the little signs, as the window was reflecting. So I asked what kind of breads those were, again he pointed to the menu card outside...luckily the girl at the other sales booth was quite the opposite and very cheerful and friendly. She also gladly answered my questions. AND, dear marketing manager Jolie, save yourself the usual snappy reply or that I should have brought this to your attention while still on the premises, I was too perplexed and simply shocked. On of the major reasons why I travel to the UK and Australia, etc. is, that the people there are kind and friendly which is very soothing to me. I already get enough rude behavior back in Germany. So sad, as this little place is so adorable and enchanting, but leaves a "bitter taste". Products purchased were good, but very high priced. Unfortunately I got a very rude reply from the owner, stating that we, the customers should show respect for them/him being the way they are in this case, very rude. And - that behind a closed window, the sales person could barely hear what the customer wants and only guess.... As for myself, I am almost 70 years old, severly disabled and came a long way just to visit this bakery. In my work life I stood behind a glass window and to communicate with the customers, we simply used an intercom. And regardless how good or bad I felt each day, I treated my customers nice and...
Read moreWe stopped by Manuela’s Wee Bakery today for what was supposed to be a quick break – but ended up staying much longer than planned. What started with a warming coffee and a perfectly cheesy, savoury bun turned into a magical little detour ✨
The take away bakery is worth the visit: a lovingly maintained garden full of charming nooks, quirky details, and hidden treasures. Wherever you look, there’s something to discover – even the toilet is a highlight! 😁
We got chatting with the owner family and were instantly drawn into their story. Hearing how much work it takes to maintain the place made us appreciate every little detail even more.
Aside from the fresh bakes and good coffee, there’s homemade jam, cookies, rustic bread.
If you’re anywhere near, don’t just pass by. Stop and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. A place with soul, created by people who clearly pour theirs into it 🫶
Thank you to the lovely family for making us feel so welcome 🤗 – your little haven was the perfect pause on our journey from Skye to...
