My husband and I visited Dunkeld Rd McDonald's in Perth yesterday evening at around 9.30pm. We ordered our food at the drivethru and paid for it. We were given our drinks and told our order wasn't ready yet and asked if we would drive forward to the next window to wait for our food. We did that. As soon as we stopped our car at the window, someone shouted over the tannoy in a very aggressive manner "can the person parked at window 4 go to the parking place provided. " We were puzzled as we had just been asked to drive forward to this window. The person then started screaming and shouting irrationally and aggressively, "move, move". My husband got out of the car to see who the person was shouting at. He approached window 3 and asked what the problem was. The young man there said he didn't know who had shouted or why they were shouting. The person on the tannoy then started shouting "keep back 2 metres, 2 metres" very aggressively again. We have never been spoken to by anyone like that in our lives before. I asked to speak to the manager. Laura Clark (who described herself as Chief Manager) came to speak to us. I told her what had happened and asked her who it was that had shouted at us. She initially said she didn't know as she had been in the kitchen. I advised her the person who had shouted was male. She then said that she had an idea who it was but couldn't give me the person's name due to company policy. She gave me the email address for the manager. I told her how upset we were and how inappropriate it was for anyone to be spoken to in that way. She agreed with us at the time, however, we were sat at the window for around a few minutes after we spoke to her and we could hear all of the staff laughing. This has been a terrible, insulting experience for both of us and we couldn't even eat our food afterwards. We had no confidence that should we ask for a refund it would be given, after the way we had been treated. What on Earth is going on in Dunkeld...
Read moreOrdered online on the McDonald’s app to pickup, the order was accepted, but when I turned up there were three big bins in front of the drive through and the main entrance door was locked. Which means I could not cancel my order because it had already gone through. Meaning I lost my 8000 reward points because they didn’t have the decency to declare the premises as closed as they should have done.
I could still see they were working inside doing something, god knows what, but I couldn’t get anywhere near anybody to talk to due to the doors being locked.
I will never make the mistake of ordering from this particular McDonald’s ever again. Unprofessional, and with no reason.
Now I’m left with the burden of trying to contact McDonald’s customer service to get my 8000 unspent rewards back which they keep asking for receipts which are not generated until after you finish collecting your order. (Impossible due to the unscheduled lockdown of that store with no warning and still happily taking new orders.)
Totally avoidable situation if they had just officially listed this poorly run restaurant as closed for orders. Unfortunately they didn’t bother. Now me as the customer is left with the burden of having to prove I lost 8000 rewards points.
This was an entirely avoidable situation, however the negligence of the manager at this location has shifted the blame away from them and onto the unaware customer to claim for any unfulfilled orders during this time.
Added a photo of my drive through code to be pictured which should NEVER have been generated since they had knowingly and deliberately blocked the drive through with 3 large bins. Massively unprofessional for such a...
Read moreJust visited Dunkeld Rd, MacDonalds…….hellish experience. Walked in, not the cleanest look restaurant, next ordered the food at a self service screen, no order receipt available from the machine. Go and report this to a staff member, she laughs and says your not the only one!!! Next i find out the order tracking screens are playing up. After standing waiting 20 mins and with the usual delivery guys pushing past me and stretching over the counter touching all the bags and food waiting which is disgusting and unhygienic, i go ask a manager when i might see my food. Not even an apology or acknowledging the waiting time, he replies yours is next on screen to be bagged up. Another 20 mins go by and then i hear my order being shouted. We get given the food and again, not even a Sorry and By this time my 2 kids are fed up and we all want to get home. Big mistake!!! I get home to discover we are missing a burger and the food is bloody cold. As i have no receipt, no bloody evidence of the order - that worked out well for you McDonalds….no wonder you can make a profit!!!!!!! More than angry with the whole experience avoid at all cost. Think i will get in touch with the Head Office. Been in touch with Head Office who try to make things right with an evoucher for £10, this after telling them i dont want to step foot in a McDonalds again!!! And then the store adds further insult by thinking that offering a free meal when i order with them again, as they wont provide me with a refund and give me my money back!! They are now offering 2 free meals but are refusing to give me my money back!!!...
