I was in the area & decided to come here. The drive thru queue was at the roundabout, so I decided to walk into the building instead. This was a huge mistake. I presumed that orders were done on the machines (what else are they there for), but after waiting an eternity & watching what was going on, it appears that the quickest way to get your food is to disregard the machine & go to the counter. There was a fair number of people who did this & were out of the shop & I'm still waiting for my food. Who's the mug here? The staff, to be fair, were really busy. Well, apart from who I can only imagine was a manager who was chatting away to staff members, who I think were about to come on for the night shift. They got their orders immediately. Again, I'm stood waiting. To my right hand side, there were loads of delivery drivers waiting for their orders. They appear to have priority here, so again, I'm stood waiting. I, personally, think that a customer coming into the restaurant should take priority. If it wasn't for the fact that I'd paid for all the food, I'd have just turned around & left. I waited ages to get my food, but after waiting so long, any enjoyment in eating it was long gone as I was completely fed up. I totally get that this restaurant is very busy, but why is a foot customer (one that actually uses the ordering machines) so far down the pecking order? Being that I waited an extremely long time, I was able to watch exactly what goes on in this restaurant & what type of customers get their food first & also which staff members just want to chat with colleagues etc. It'll be a long time until I ever use this place again. If ever! The service & attitudes leave a lot to be desired. Is it ever likely to improve?...
Read moreI am taking a guess that my food was hot leaving the kitchen. It took over 2 hours for my food to be delivered by ubber! McDonald's are obviously under the impression that some of its customers don't have the mental capacity to realise that when it says the driver is at the restaurant for 40 minutes, that the driver is actually not there yet. It took the driver 40 minutes from restaurant to my address, 5 minutes drive away. The ice cream melted and all food cold, including the not hot chocolate, and they did not give me my dip for the fries. I called Ubber. They said sorry, you know, in fact, they're not. They did give me a refund of 5p for my missing item. They would not except blame. I called McDonald's, and they did say they would not give a refund, but would replace the meal. I went to McDonald's drive thru and explained what had happened. They said you can have a refund or the meal. Hmmm???!!! I took the meal. I was given my order in a couple of bags. I asked for the hot chocolate separately to put in the car cup holder. They forgot to give it, and the person went back in to get it. I drove home to find the ice cream, and can you guess what was missing for my fries? Yup, my dip. I would not recommend using ubber to deliver your order if you want it complete, in due time, and hot. I'll never use the service again. On reflection, i can say this to help you. Check your order is all there before...
Read moreThe last few times been to Ayr at least 1 item missing. Tonight a share box all 4 dips missing. Last time chips missing. Fruit bag missing. Fruitshoot missing. All this and only ordering for 2 people. Sat n watched at least another 6 people when I sat in with missing items. Please get staff to double check orders. Be a shame to stop going. Also seen a woman report 3 young neds shouting at her. Reported to staff member they told another staff member who then got a manager. Who then served someone while the lady was clearly in distress. Then the 3 neds got picked up and the manager walked outside just as they got into a car. Told the lady nobody was there. I stepped in and told the manager what happened. Almost 10 mins from reported to actwent outside. Felt for the woman she was I'd say late 50s. Even inside I was challenged by youths when asked to stop shouting and swearing. Staff tried to stop them running into the back of the shop but the shy smiles approach to move them didn't work as was just laughed at by them. Stop neds just sitting in hanging about in...
