Today was a first trying Monterey Jack's in M&Ds after trying it before in East Kilbride. The menu options were again just as brilliant. Lots of options and even a well put together kids menu. Not your typical fish and chips or chicken nuggets. The kids menu had real food options similar to the adults menu only kids portions. That in itself is quite a good start for us. The food was presented very skillfully. The ribs my partner had were served on a long plank with his fries, corn and salad and it smelled gorgeous. The moment the waitress brought it out to him, heads were turning to see what it was. The butter chicken and sweet potato fries were an absolute treat especially with the coleslaw they served with it. That was delicious. The food was really good. The only fault I had was the onion rings but that's a personal preference. I prefer mine quite crispy where as I found these to be quite soft and the onion slid out almost slimy like but again nothing to be put off the rest of the meal, it's probably how most people enjoy them. The decor was very well thought of and themed really cool and the lighting was just right. The music playing was mixed but I enjoyed the country music when it did play as it seemed more in tone with the atmosphere however best to keep it mixed to keep everyone happy. The staff are very friendly and polite and always seem to have a smile on their face which is uplifting. They had no problem checking to see if the Services Discount was to be honoured and it was so that made everything even more delightful. We personally like to see that the NHS can get a discount as we contribute that savings towards the tip at the end. I honestly wouldn't say its expensive given the portion sizes and how everything was made. We were just over £60 for 3 people which included an extra drink for our daughter and that was a main course and dessert each with drinks. You could say about £20 a head which is very reasonable. I've seen people spend more at McDonald's for worse. I'd highly recommend giving it try, with the arcade and bowling and park all in walking distance you could easily make a day of it and finish with a...

We have attended this restaurant twice a year since opened. We were last there as a group of 12 on December 23rd and we attended today same group of 12z I appreciate menus change but we were disgusted by the 4 person sharing starter board. You get 4 pieces of chicken, a plate size garlic bread, a bed of lettuce, 1 small corn in the cob cut into 4 pieces (called baby corn ribs). FOR £25.00 A children’s meal is £6:50 and included 4 pieces of chicken (exact same as sharing plater) on a mountain of fries. I would have been better ordering 2 of these and would have had more food. Explained this to the manager and she did bring over free portion of mac and cheese which was nice. The manager made a comment saying that if we wanted value for money we could get large pizza outside. We have always enjoyed our visits previously and always felt we do get value for money but today, with the new menu cutting 1 small corn in the cob into 4 parts and calling that baby corn ribs was appalling. Also chicken cin a bon and as £16 and didn’t even come with fries. New menu is very poor. We will not be back when we attend for our annual family gatherings...

Dropped in this afternoon for lunch and left very impressed and with a very full belly. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown to our table. The drinks we ordered came out promptly and we didn't wait too long either for our food considering it looked quite busy with alot tables and families already sat down with others coming in. The food was all superb. From the pizza, to the burgers and the loaded fries. There was barely a scrap of food left on any of the plates by the time we had all finished. Whether you are a little kid or a big kid, there is an excellent choice on their menu. I did notice that they also had a decent selection for anyone who is vegan as well, so it's a restaurant for everyone. The staff were all lovely, polite and anytime they passed the table they were asking if everything was OK and if we needed any extra drinks. Very attentive without being obtrusive. Highly recommend Monterey Jack's. Looking forward to returning with other half, minus the kids, so we can try some of those...

Having dined a multiple Monterey Jacks branches I already had a good idea what to expect when I took the wife to this new branch. Decor was fantastic, I have never been to a restaurant with such character. We started with a beer for myself and a cocktail for the wife then followed by our food. Our wait for a Saturday I would have to say wasn't too long especially given the staff will surely be new to the branch and it will have been their first experience of weekend traffic. I had the Red Neck burger which was absolutely amazing, i opted for upgrading to sweet potato fries as having had them before i love the way they are coated in syrup, the wife went for a chicken hot pizza which looked fantastic, for once i didn't try steal a slice. Chicken tenders and Halloumi fries with a selection of dips had to be added in too however I was too stuffed to try a dessert, will have to keep room on our next visit.

The place has been done up really well and had a good vibe to it, unfortunately the service is lacking, waiting 50 minutes for food, asking what we wanted to drink as soon as we sat down, bringing main meals out at separate times 6 minutes between the first and last items, if you can't handle the capacity don't accept diners into the venue. Ive found the service a recurring theme between here, hamilton branch and merchant city. Food is good and so are the cocktails. Service and timings to be desired.
