I feel the need to put this review on as we have just left after having our (breakfast) at this place and I'm shocked at the lack of care and attention taken in all aspects. The 1 star is for the young lady who deserves 5 stars for how much is expected from her. She was very friendly and really tried to accommodate our needs. First thing, the food! No eggs ready no hash browns ready then when they did come out we noticed there was no beans! I ended up knocking on the door to the chef to tell him there's no beans. His reply, they are coming!!! No apology nothing. There was two large spoons to put your food onto your plates had to use the bean spoon to put our mushrooms onto our plates. oh yah no plates! This was a very quiet morning as well. Second the toast area, no butter no sauces, no milk! Went to a table that was cleaned, but not great. There was 5 tables around us that had not been cleaned full of cutlery and plates. Coffee area no spoons! Used our forks to stir our coffee. Asked for food to be cooked but it was taken so long. No one was checking on the food. I asked the young girl and she said there was only her the manager(who was nowhere to be seen) and the chef. Shocking the young girl was doing everything herself. The (manager) did come out to grab himself a drink, clearly over worked!!!! Not! The whole place needs to be looked at food was OK but £19.00 to have to run around ourselves tell them what needs sorting is not acceptable. The place was dirty and more staff is needed to bring it upto a standard it should be. Shame on brewers fayre should be ashamed of themselves for the lack of compident staff. Won't...

Fantastic dinner, disgusting breakfast!

So we checked into the Premier Inn on Tuesday and went here for dinner. When we arrived we were greeted by the very polite bar manager Gary who apologised that they were short staffed and just to help ourselves to a table and to come to the bar to order which is fair enough. Food was lovely and hot. Serve was very polite and friendly.

So following morning we come down at 8:30 for breakfast and what a difference! No staff at all, waited 10 mins before someone appeared, who said find a table and help yourself and went back into the kitchen. None of the tables had been cleared down and where covered in dirty dishes. Couldn't find any clean cutlery, cups or glasses. Food on the hotplate was cold and hadn't been replenished. Tried to find a member of staff but couldn't so poked my head through the back into the kitchen to see the manager and server just standing chatting and ignoring the floor! I said that there was no clean mugs cutlery etc and all I got was " yeah yeah, well get it filled".

Another 10 mins before she comes out to give us knives and forks, mugs. I said I wasn't happy but she was not interested. Even the workmen trying to fix a problem in the bar were complaining that the server and manager there just didn't care. Also other customers in the same boat as us, just ended up walking out. Which we shouldn't have to as we had already paid for the food when booking the room. Utterly disgusting behaviour. Which is sad compared to the fantastic service we got the night before and that guy was on his on and busy but still managed to give...

There's nothing like paying over £60 for a meal to come home with food poisoning! Place is absolutely Rotten! From the food , to the drinks, to the hygiene, to the staff , even the chairs and cutlery & napkins on the table were dirty!! My stomach was a little upset after eating here yesterday, and I didn't think much else until I was vomiting throughout the night and still this morning & this afternoon! Battered fish , with the skin still on! So basically the head was taken off and the thing was battered , and the smell with how fishy it was , raised my concerns to order something else from the menu , then the speed the food is thrown out the kitchen is unbelievable, you can tell things get half heated in the microwave with it being freezing on the outside and roasting hot in the middle, Even with the tiny amount I had eaten , and how unwell it's made me , I dread to think if I HAD eaten the whole meal how it would have affected me! Hope your food and hygiene rating is up to date because no one could pass that place . It's a disgusting shambles 🤮 and you should be shut down! Disgraceful! avoid at all costs unless you potentially want to be vomiting for hours...

Read to the end*** Had the mixed grill, steak was full of grizzle, fried eggs were hard, everything from the grill had chunks of black bits, chips were ok. Service was slow and minimal so no chance to complain quietly. Lots of empty tables on a valentines night tells me the locals know its not great 2nd visit, Work brought me back to the area and with little option I decided to try again, had the mixed grill again, the steak was fantastic, the eggs perfect, no black bits from the grill, food arrived extremely fast, the slim young lady that served me was polite and helpfull. I can only assume they have new staff as the improvement from the previous visit was incredible. Congratulations

Absolutely the worst I've had and we have had some bad ones at Brewers Fayres recently. Burger with mac cheese - burger was like a block of dry chewy carbon, mac on top was tasteless and pasta was dry, roll was soggy, chips were cold and full of grease. Seems to have been very poor luck and coincidence but Brewers Fayres in Scotland have been god awful. Maybe it has something to do with the fact you pay for your meal at point of ordering Photo below does not do it justice

Update, went back and was really disappointed, the place wasn’t overly busy but seemed very understaffed, had the carvery which was nice but it took 30mins at the bar to be served, and then another 30 mins to get served at the carvery, ordered chips for the little one and a minuscule bowl came out, staff were good and got more which saved this being a one star but doubt I will be back Nice place, didn't eat but seemed reasonably priced, would go back to try food,
