Punjabi Tadka, Indian Restaurant @ East Kilbride — Restaurant in Scotland

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Punjabi Tadka, an Indian restaurant in East Kilbride . Overall, my experience was quite enjoyable. To start off, the atmosphere was lovely. The interior was decorated with traditional Indian art and the lighting was warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. Speaking of the menu, there were plenty of options to choose from. The restaurant offered a variety of dishes from different regions of India, and I appreciated that they labeled which dishes were vegetarian or gluten-free. I decided to try the Daal Makhni , which was recommended by the waiter, and it did not disappoint. The flavors were bold and delicious, and the portion size was just right. I also tried a couple of the appetizers, including the Chicken Tikka and the Vegetable Pakora, and they were both fantastic. The naan bread was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the chutneys and sauces that came with the appetizers were flavorful and complemented the dishes well. First and last time for this place, called for a delivery and was quoted up to an hour, I agreed and placed an order for Chicken Tikka masala, pilau rice and garlic Nan and 2 x cans of coke, after and hour and 10 mins I called asking how much longer was then quoted 15 mins, half an hour later driver arrived to which I felt bad about not tipping him, however under the circumstances I chose not to, anyway went even further down hill from there!! All the food was cold and the coke was warm that really made me believe the driver had them packed together in his car for a while!! How did anyone ever ever gave this restaurant a 5 star review??!!! First the good points- reasonably nice surroundings and very polite staff. However the food was RUBBISH!!! Never thought it possible to have a bad curry these days but boy!!!! I was totally so so disappointed!!! Never tasted curries as awful as these!! The pakoras and Samosa were soggy and undercooked. The curries don’t taste fresh and more like lamb stew (Lamb Jalanghari) with little taste of fresh spices. The chicken kangahari was just as bad and the chicken definitely not freshly cooked.
