Edit: 26/24 1204pm. Disgusting attitude from woman in blue dress probably one of the owners. We've been coming here for years, and never had such a rude waiter. My husband and I went in as usual for dine in, Sat down at an unreserved table. With four seats, didn't want to be sandwiched in between other diners, the lady came over to us and asked us to move to a smaller table, we said we would be quick eating and leave within 20 mins, she said okay and walked off. 5 minutes later she came back and said if anyone with more than 2 person party came in we would need to get up (in the middle of eating) and go to a smaller table to accommodate a party of 3 or more. We said let's move to a smaller table now, so we don't have to walk with our plates of food and drink if a bigger table comes in, frustrated. Then we could tell the lady was clearly annoyed with us so we asked for our food to go, and we sat outside to give space so we aren't in their way taking up the tables. She came out with our food and purposely left it at the table at the door, didn't want to walk up to us and hand our food so she said our name left it 5 feet away on a table propping up the front door and walked away with her rude attitude. SO UNFRIENDLY. Why do you have a table open and get to dictate who uses it if it is unreserved? So unprofessional, and sad after years of getting good service we've experienced your unwelcoming owners. You need to put a sign on the table saying "only for party of 4" if you care so much about its use, you want more people to be able to sit down but don't care about being friendly and reasonable with your guests that are already in. Never again, and clearly you don't mind losing business to keep your nose up at locals. Shame on your name woman. Will never recommend this to anyone again, we've overlooked every issue of the place until now, your pride and ego got in the way of providing excellent service today...

I have previously purchased coffee from this establishment on two occasions for take away and the coffee was excellent. I brought my family to the establishment on a Saturday and queued for a table. My mother asked for a table upon which a young woman began to explain that we had to order drinks and food first before being taken to a table. This was acceptable and we were happy to comply. However what was not acceptable was a male employee looking up and shouting at us to wait to be served and that his staff were busy. He was loud and rude and upset my mother so much she went outside at which point we all decided to leave. Totally uncalled for behaviour, he should be ashamed of himself. His fellow staff I have no issue with, I had recognised they were under pressure and I appreciated their attentiveness regardless but the males tone and volume...

We have been patrons to this cafe several times. We were told by senior staff that we could only sit at a large table that was not on reservation, if our small party was willing to get up with our plates and move to a smaller table or outside if a larger group came in after us and they'd want to sit them there. They make you feel like they are doing you a favor by serving you and doing their jobs. The food is normal cafe sandwiches and soups, and same for the drinks just normal not bad not amazing. Don't recommend as there are many other nearby cafes. A really nice one is just across from WHS Smith on the high street go...
