Rio Ristorante — Restaurant in Scotland

No social distancing. Far to many tables and people in the restaurant. Two male staff wearing their masks below their noses. Still happened even after complaining. They were touching their masks constantly and pulling them up whilst serving food. Why even wear a mask? Our friend on the next table was served burnt chicken wings. When they complained they expected fresh ones but got nothing. The garlic King praws on garlic bread turns out to be two prawns one on each slice of bread. Shocking for the money. Our table was booked for 6pm. They were only serving pizza and pasta. There was no pizza dough??? At 6pm? I was asked what else I wanted. Then an hour later I was asked what I wanted as no pizza dough. Three tables who came in after us were served pizzas. Our main meal was served at almost 8pm. I had cold prawn and chicken pasta with 4 praws. Very poor. We did complain but just a limp apology. The disabled toilet had tiles off the wall. Not very hygienic in these time. People were complaining. I didn't feel covid safe. I...

Arrived for lunch and was greeted with a smile. This was the only restaurant that we could find on a Monday lunch that was open and not also a sort of nightclub. Friendly and accommodating waiter. Lunch menu was fairly sparse but they do gluten free.... On their separate gf menu they have 2 starters and 2 main courses. Not a lot but at least its a genuine go at fully accommodating gluten free people. Food was nice, although my sons spaghetti Bolognese was a little funny (Im not used to ground mince!). I would recommend to anyone taking a visit to the area. The service was speedy and both starters and mains were to a good standard. They have a vegan menu advertised with multiple options (i can't say it's the best italian vegan meal i've ever had but to get anywhere in Dunoon doing a vegan menu, nevermind option is top notch in my book).
