Over New Year's weekend I thought I'd found the icing on the cake. Wonderful service, friendly people, amazing food deserving of one star status! Fine ales including craft beers, superb gins and to top it all excellent staff, special love to Michaela, Tammy, Bobbie and all the bar staff and back up crew. The chef and sous chef first class. Some of the best food ever tasted. Hosts amazing, took George, my dog, in as one of their own. Most welcomed even amongst the chaos of my Asperger's ASD savant world.
A delight to meet Memphis and share the laughter as the two dogs went nuts amongst the guests. Even the drinkers were ace. Maddie, Lisa, Sally, many new friends made on 2 epic nights.
So much so that I wanted to come back and forth a community based project in Kingussie itself at the local Shinty club based down the road.
Many tales shared, beers drank and food devoured...the black pudding crepe, simple gastronomic poetry, the pork belly with black pudding on Apple, mind-blowingly creative. Cooked to perfection, surely greater things are in the pipeline for the chef. 1st class service. So much so that accommodation will be booked for the next weekend, as we bring a total of 14 people up to recreate the total ecstasy of new year's Eve and Day.
Thanks for the patience and understanding of the bank card that once again got hit, new card on order lol. My Asperger's is very hard to grasp, so kindness and patience never go amiss.
Some see it as an ailment, I see it as the greatest gift possible. Only because we give everything away for free and for fun. Yet still folks doubt us sadly! X
So hard to take when you're a philanthropist who enjoys helping others in need. A mixture of genius and madness always a potent cocktail of passion and love.
Thanks again to Dave and Lisa, looking forward so much to next weekend, well Sunday 7th-Friday 12th inclusive!
Much love as always xxx DodgyRoge xxx...
Read moreMy boyfriend and me went to Scotland for one week. As Germans, we're used to being able to eat anywhere at any time of day with service at the table. In Scotland, you often search in vain. The first star goes to Tandoori because this restaurant has been one of the few constants in our time. It's open every evening. The next two stars are for the food. I wasn't a fan of Indian food before. Tandoori, however, serves quickly, hot, and freshly. The taste was excellent. The fourth and fifth stars go to the service. As Germans, you're not without a lot of friction in Scotland. Tandoori also blurred all interpersonal boundaries. With an enormous sensitivity for small talk, in-depth conversations, and quiet periods, you experience a traditional and familiar restaurant visit with pleasant interaction and an absolutely comfortable atmosphere. We ate there four times and it could've been more. The prices are absolutely normal in Scotland, here you got service at the table and payment after...
Read moreI am writing this review while sitting at the table that's closest to the kitchen. I ordered the pork belly, which has earned a lot of good reviews online, but it came to me as a disappointment. Both the pork and the potato were freezing cold on the inside. The food was definitely cooked from quite a while ago, refrigerated, microwaved, and then served. It is too bad that they even did a terrible job microwaving it? The only reason I'm giving it an extra star is that the waitress apologized like 5 times and offered a drink on the host. I have been traveling in Scotland for 3 weeks now, and this is by far the worst...
