This is a fantastic traditional family-run restaurant. As soon as you walk through the door you're given a friendly welcome and shown to your table. It is a welcoming atmosphere, full of warmth and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. Old or new to the restaurant, You are going to feel right at home and will be treated as an old friend. The cooking and selection of meals on the menu are varied, cooked in a more traditional family method. Rather than the standard supermarket-style meal, that tastes and looks the same no matter where you are dining, these are individually cooked and prepared for you. The dishes are unique and delicious. A true taste sensation. Last night we were in on a small family reunion and Shafiq who started the restaurant in 1973, was in the kitchen cooking the meals as they were ordered. Wow. I've travelled the world and to be honest this is the best tasting food, I have ever tasted of any style on all the continents. The staff are super friendly and helpful they will recommend and advise. There will be no "you'll need three rice" to boost the takings here. On my very first visit ordering for two, I was advised "Don't worry you'll only need the one portion sir" and what a portion. I mentioned the food was fantastic, but they don't shy away from filling your plate. Friendly fast and with the added benefits of a Delicious and varied menu. There is parking, a very large car park in the village less than a 5-minute walk. If you're in the area or if you have to travel a distance. Honestly, this is well worth the trip. Go and enjoy 10-star food and service. You'll walk out feeling you've been going there for years and with a smile on your face. Oh and did I mention the cost? Again you'll not get stung at the end of the night, prices are good and you'll find real value for your £.

This was an absolutely outstanding dining experience. The owner waited on us personally. He was very kind and friendly and shared with us a bit of the history of the restaurant, which was started by his grandfather, and passed down to his father and then to him. He asked us about our flavor preferences and then recommended dishes based on the answers we gave. All were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere and ambiance were elegant and the restaurant was very clean. Unfortunately there isn't parking on premesis, but do not give up! There is community parking just a half a block down the street. The short walk is completely worth it. Our only regret is that, as we were visiting from afar, we will not be able to give this place more of our business. But we highly recommend that you do. You will not be sorry!

Dinner for 2. Food was excellent and good service but I was disappointed with the bill. £105 for 2 starters two mains and bread. £8 odd for a bottle of sparkling water!!!! We had two, and 2 glasses of wine.Worse, £8 for 2 poppadoms and a teeny bowl of spiced onions and a splash of chutney. I'm glad I didn't bring the kids or I'd need to remortgage the house!! So whilst the food is good, some of the prices are a bit ridiculous so for that reason I wont return. There's a sign on the door that states the price on the menu may not be the price you pay. However this I'm pretty sure is illegal. You need to charge the displayed price so the menu needs to be changed. At the very least consultation with the customer when ordering as most of our items were dearer than stated...
