SYMPOSIUM coffee house — Restaurant in Scotland

I have always had an instinct about people and places and when I was travelling around the world this pretty much helped to keep me out of trouble. This place just keeps giving me a feeling of a phony facade. Disinterested people in an uninteresting place. The coffee is adequate, it does the job, but I have had better and not too far away either. It might be that I picked the wrong times or something, but by the time I got the coffees back to where I was going they were luke warm yet when I get them from a different venue a few yards away, they are still piping hot. Frankly, it was overpriced with poor staff. I had a tea, and they forgot the milk. I also had a bagel with avocado. That's not an abbreviation; it was literally just a bagel with avocado. No butter. no pepper. Not even salt. And it cost over £4. Partner had a bacon bagel at it was dripping grease. Never again.

The girls running the place were polite and helpful but it has to be admitted that the floor badly needed sweeping, the tables dirty and the paper towels in the toilets had run out (no electric dryer).
