Arandos Peterhead — Restaurant in Scotland

Ordered for the first time after seeing "We'll show you how we're different from all the other kebab shops in Peterhead", as the place was being built. Took an hour and 15 minutes to arrive. The "Single crispy chicken burger" is a thin, frozen, tasteless, processed chicken patty with equally tasteless outer coating in a sesame seed bun. Ordered this with salad - Arando's definition of 'salad' clearly differs from the norm as a few scraggly pieces of lettuce is not salad - it's lettuce. If I wanted just lettuce I'd have ordered just lettuce - at the bare minimum expected tomato to also be on it. Ordered 2 pieces of "fried chicken" - it's Southern fried - not that it tells you that on the menu. One piece arrived looking genuinely like a hockey puck (see pictures). Slimy on the bottom and dry on the inside. Ate the first one - didn't touch the hockey puck but dissected it to find more slimy raw batter underneath (again see pictures). Ate the chicken fillets as I was hungry - very similar to what you can buy 2 minutes away frozen at Farmfoods for better value for money. Chicken wings largely tasteless also but edible. Can only assume the kebabs/pizzas are where the good reviews are coming from - won't be ordering again to try them. "Improvement required" hygiene rating from ratings.food.gov.uk doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Utter waste of...

First time we went to Peterhead and we quickly felt hungry. Hence, we wanted something to eat quickly. We’ve ordered beef and mixed kebabs as well as cheese bites and fries. Everything was delicious. They had a lot of fizzy drinks to choose from that are not normally available at other places as well conventional drinks like coke, sprite etc. Here, they had Tango blueberry Rio tropical and a lot more. The premises was very clean which makes you eat at that place. The most prominent part of a takeaway is the taste and this place was no less than German Doner Kebab, if not better. Placed an order for delivery at 22:30. Was contacted at 22:45 and was informed that they order would not arrive until 23:20. the reason given was that other orders had came in and the delivery driver was out on other deliveries. considering the food was supposed to arrive at 22:30 I cant help but think it must have been sitting in the shop for at least 45 mins before being delivered. Very poor...
