Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Scotland

Popped in for a quick bite to eat at 2pm. It was still quite busy. The staff were rushed off their feet but still managed to be very attentive and they were polite and friendly. I was very impressed with the food I ordered. I had macaroni cheese which I don’t usually have when I’m out. This macaroni cheese was very nice, i will definitely be back to have that again. My daughter had pancakes with banana and syrup which she loved. I think the staff here are a real credit to Tesco. Well done ...

Upon entering the Tesco Cafe I could tell the atmosphere was one of joy! All members of staff were very attentive and quick to assist. I opted for the fish and chips with mushy peas and washed it all down with a nice cold Diet Coke. The fish was moist as if it was just plucked out of the North Sea, the accompanying tarte sauce made my meal complete. I ordered a cup of tea and a toasted tea cake. They brought the tea in good time, but I had to wait 20 minutes for the tea cake and they were extremely rude when I asked twice - saying “it’s the kitchen”meaning a different department than the drinks department! - or 2nd time “ it’s in the queue “. I guess that means if somebody ordered a meal before the tea cake, it got cooked first. What a system! I thought I would just pop in for 10 minutes before shopping but what a waste of...
