I took my girlfriend their for a Valentines day meal a day or two late but she didn't mind and i 100 percent put that down to the food. I will start by saying i have been to Thailand and if you want an authentic taste of Thai food then this place is second to none. The appetizer i started with was Moo Yang, a port skewer in a sweet chilli sause that was perfect i would recomend this to everyone. I had Pad thai for my main and again it was amazing the flavour is just perfect i cant rate the food highly enough. Its a small restraunt and the staff here are very friendly, its run by a Thai couple that have lived in Scotland for years now and worked in many restraunts across the UK from London to Tobermory. The decor is bright, warm and welcoming. The restraunt itself is small only sits around 30 id say but its very cosy they lit candles at the table for us and they were friendly to chat too. Im pleased to say they do take aways aswell. I live in dumfries its about an hour and a halfs drive away and i will be back, it is worth the drive. Food this good is worth the journy lol 10/10 i would recomend to anyone passing through selkirk yo give this gem a try its worth putting...

They were more than happy for us to have a party atmosphere set up with balloons and a suprise cake at the end presented by the chief himself singing happy birthday. Thought the menu had an excellent choice of Thai food with a really good Thai beer on offer aswell . Perfect place for a night out for brilliant food . As there was a few of us it helped see a big range of starters and mains being served and not one of us was disappointed. They also offer a takeaway service aswell . Great place with a service with a smile and will definitely be back. Will give a few places a run for there money in Selkirk . 10 out of 10 . Well done all at Thai Valley...
ย ย ย Read moreThe Thai Valley Restaurant has become our favourite go-to restaurant over recent months. The Thai food is excellent, and with easy ground floor access, it should be accessible to most people. Our favourite starter, a sharing platter for two, served with crispy spring rolls, chicken satay, fish cakes, and crispy chicken, is beautifully presented and tastes delicious. The Tom Yum soup (we order it with shrimp) has just the right level of spiciness. Our current favourite main course is the deep-fried sea bass with sweet and sour sauce. I have no hesitation in recommending the Thai Valley Restaurant for your next...
