From the outside this is a fairly unassuming place and could be easily overlooked by a passerby. In my case, a sudden squally, serendipitous, rain shower forced me through the door. There are limited cafe options in Lower Largo, but you won't go wrong here - my flat white and carrot cake were very good and the ye olde chair I sat on was way more comfortable than it looked. Plus there's the opportunity to peruse a small selection of art offerings, honey etc from locals.

Cosy atmosphere, great service and very reasonably priced. Called in on a braw August afternoon for coffee, delicious broccoli & cauliflower soup and a veggie seeded roll - all for less than £10. This is my third summer in Lower Largo and the Aurrie is definitely the dog-friendly hideout that I've been missing to escape the in-laws.

We’re staying close-by so nipped in for lunch. Staff were attentive and helpful. All meals were fresh and prepared quickly after ordering. Also had a selection of freshly made cakes. You can also purchase a selection of locally made art, plus jam, honey and chutneys are sometimes available too, also made by locals.

Service was quick and friendly. Nice atmosphere. We had breakfast rolls which were made to our request for crispy bacon. Clean toilets and quirky surprise inside. I'll let you all discover for yourselves. We decided on leaving to purchase several Rhubarb Crumble cakes to takeaway. Weren't cheap at £3 each but looked nice. However, we were all surprised that there was very little sign or taste of any Rhubarb whatsoever. Also very dry and dense and not pleasant at all. £15 worth of cakes binned. Won't put us off revisiting but probably stick to savoury dishes from now on.

UPDATE Since my review the owner Helen got in touch and was very concerned with our issue. She very kindly offered a refund. However, as we definitely plan a return visit we happily accepted the £15 voucher she forwarded to us. I really cannot fault the customer service of this establishment. Very friendly and efficient response. 5* in all respects. Thank...

Wonderful bacon rolls served by polite, friendly, lovely staff. We are regular visitors most weeks for breakfast rolls and so predictable that the staff know our order before we speak. (other lovely food is available...... we are creatures of habbit. ) Loyalty cards also available. . Pooch menu available, sausages served with a little cold water to cool it down. what's not to like. Free dog biscuits too . Wood burner makes it cosy on cold days.

Gifts available to buy from local artists.

Menu good variety , good quality ingredients and food well presented. . Good choice of Vegetarian food. Definately worth a visit. Parking can be limited, bigger car parks a few minutes walk away. disabled access. Kid friendly, dog friendly....

Couldn’t have found a better place for our day out today, a walk along the beach with the dogs and then this dog friendly cafe. What a lovely friendly atmosphere and with a lovely log fire, it was just what we needed on a cold day. The soup, sandwiches and cakes were delicious and even the dogs got a wee doggie treat! 🐶 To top it all there was a lovely selection of local crafts on offer, including some homemade tomato chutney & pear chutney which we can’t wait to try over the Christmas period. Thank you, we will...
