An absolutely terrific hidden gem in Keith. Bengal Spice restaurant is an absolute go to if you like authentic, well cooked and presented Indian food. This family run restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated with amazing, helpful staff. All under the informative helpful (nothing is too much trouble) manageress Tania whose father is the proprietor. It's not at all surprising that this restaurant has won awards, they are truly amazing! You are spoilt for choice with the extensive choice on the menu and the very talented chef will tweak any dish on the menu to your own particular taste. My own particular favourite is the Haryially Chicken which is delightful. We have eaten here 7 times in the last 3 months and tonight have tried their buffet night. Every time it has been consistently good in every way. The food is very reasonably priced with a huge selection to chose from. You have to take your own alcohol of which there is a very minimal Β£1.50 corkage fee. All in all, a fantastic restaurant with great food and excellent staff. A hidden gem indeed. π Kind regards Rich and...
Β Β Β Read moreBengal Spice was amazing, it was my 2nd time dining here, this one was more traditional as last time was buffet style. The food quality here is probably by far the best in Keith.
The wait for the meals was a little long but I think there was only a few working through the back and it was all done one order at a time. But not to worry because when the food did come out, it was still sizzling hot and delicious. I would much rather wait for proper high quality food than it be rushed and a mess. The atmosphere is beautiful, the decorations and everything is of a golden colour theme. The staff were extremely kind and tended to all our needs.
I ordered the Chicken Tikka alongside the house special pilau and fresh orange juice. I also had nan bread and we had poppadoms to keep us munching while we waited for our food. The building was warm and everyone was having a good time. It is definitely worth 5 stars on both of my dining experiences. I will be back and I will absolutely recommend to...
Β Β Β Read moreIt was ok but and our little girl has eaten free which was kind of them but the food wasnt the best and could definitely improve: Coke was poured from a bottle Chicken chat didnt taste like chat just salty with weird taste to it Biriyani had so many bay leaves in it that it was impossible to eat without analysing each fork full every time. Sauce also seemed to be a mixture of all other mains leftovers Onion barjies where cold in the middle Mushroom rice was called and dry Naan bread didnt taste home made
Although, poppadoms and all the sauces as well as samosas and all other main dishes were lovely!
Service was good too!
Was cold but we understand its hard to hear the place up when no people are eating in.
The floor was very slippery too, our little girl fell over...
