This is a lovely wee cafe in the heart of Banchory. Plenty of seats inside and a few small bistro tables outside. What appealed was not seeing rows of pushchairs outside telling us it was more for adults wanting to have a quiet place to enjoy some food and drink rather than a parent haunt. Inside is lovely, clean and menu offers a range of home bakes, breakfast rolls and drinks. We opted for a cherry scone each, couple of coffees and a breakfast rolls. The drinks were lovely as was the breakfast roll with the bread feeling fresh and egg cooked perfectly. The scones were a bit dry as if frozen and defrosted, quite small and the cherries chopped so small it was hard to taste them. Firstly, we have to recognise the the owners and staff have gone out of their way to ensure that this delightful cafe is as Covid-safe as possible. By creating private booths with plastic sheeting and reducing the number of tables they have, plus a high standard of cleaning, it all makes for a very comfortable visit.
