The King Haakon Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

Disappointed and annoyed that having arrived late afternoon from Inverness, after checking into my accommodation, tired and hungry, I Googled restaurants open this evening for dinner, within 15 minute walking distance from my accommodation. This venue came up and so did its adjoining restaurant with a different name. Open until 11pm is advertised on both sites. On walking there, I was told the restaurant was closed for the winter and only the bar, no meals, was open. I was really annoyed that the owner couldn't be bothered to update the google opening hours for winter, as it completely wasted 30-40...

Glad to know they're open in winter, though seating is somewhat limited. Had a pizza here.

The cheese on that pizza.. Italian chefs whisper to each other after closing time of such things, of the customer who had spaghetti Bolognese and when it came time for them to say 'when' as they were grating the cheese over their dish, nothing was said for an hour and a half. It is lovely local restaurant. The view from the terrace on the bridge is beautiful especially during sunset. I took salad with seafood, and portion was really big, salad itself was yummy, a lot of different kinds of seafood. Dessert also was delicious. Recommend this place. I put 4 for service because you need stay in line to make order, from the other hand, it was pretty quick. Good place overall. Especially...
