Troy - Ann's Caribbean Kitchen — Restaurant in Scotland

I was just thinking about trying out Caribbean style food a day ago, and was disappointed that there was none near where I stay (Livingston). Decided to go out to see the blossoming cherry trees today in Dollar, and after the endless amount of pictures we took, decided to look for some nourishment, and this was what popped up first in Google Maps. It's a small but mighty place. The lady behind the counter greeted us with a big smile, and helped us make a decision as I wasn't sure what's good to try first time. I got a box of fried chicken with coconut rice and an extra sausage along with sweet sauce, spicy and hot mango sauce. The chicken was fresh, crispy and ever so slightly spicy. All 3 sauces played well with it, but the mango hot sauce was an absolute winner. The sausage was great too.

Visited today while on a visit to Dollar and was a bit peckish... It was the best decision my partner and I have made. The warm welcome and the smell of great food instantly made our mouths start to water. We decided to go for fried chicken with rice and peas - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The food was super fresh and the batter was light, full of flavour and super crispy 🤤. Literally just ate here about 20 minutes ago and I want to go back for more of that chicken. Saying that, I'd go back just to see the lovely lady behind the counter, extremely friendly and warm welcoming - it was a cold day but she definitely changed that!
