Went the George the other day had a meal deal katsu chicken chips and a pint of Stella the chicken come out cold in the middle I asked for a refund as you can imagine cold chicken is a no no even if it’s pre cooked beforehand was given a refund of the meal but charged full price for the pint what was wrong ! wasnt apologised to when first went up then ask for the head office email was given the wrong email address member of staff come over and said he was sorry I explain I didn’t wanna eat there as my stomach felt off sent a email as thought was unfair being charged full price for a pint the person who messaged back I guess the manager of the George ( who was there at time but didn’t come over ) said I was rude and her staff tried to help me I don’t understand where I could of been rude when clearly saying I wanted a refund and thought it was wrong paying full price when it wasn’t my mistake also the email to me says the chicken was cooked to 75 degree I can assure you the chicken was cold two other people touched it to prove this maybe this is no how you deal with a customer saying I was rude because you give me cold chicken and I complained about it not once did I raise my voice or was rude to any off your staff by the way still waiting on how I was rude you still haven’t told how I was rude ? Today's (9th July 2023) experience was slightly dissapointing, my Mum's meal (The BBQ chicken melt, usually one of her favourites), had very little sauce on it and very little cheese and the bacon was also a little overcooked. This was very dissapointing, as it's usually one of her favourite meals and she gets it frequently.

Mine and my Dad's meals were fine, but it was dissapointing that they had run out of pork and orange stuffing, which my Dad was looking forward to trying.

The deserts were also dissapointing, my Mum and Dad's apple pie was only just defrosted, and not very enjoyable. (they have had Apple Pie/crumble before, which they have thoroughly enjoyed), however, this one was stodgy and not that enjoyable and also appeared to be a different recipe to the one they thoroughly enjoyed last time.

My own desert was still enjoyable but wasn't too keen on the toffee that was added to the chocolate fudge cake and didn't seem quite as enjoyable as usual.

Last thing, at one point, I feel as though the television was a little too loud, to the point were it was getting a little uncomfortable.

This is a shame, as we've attended many times to the George and usually thoroughly enjoyed the food there, however, wanted to add, the service was fine and we had no problems there. I hope that the above is remidied in future, as it would be a shame not to come back again, especially with enjoying it so much in previous visits.

We come here roughly once a week for food and is usually absolutely stunning however this time was a little different. Ordered the chicken melt burger which the sauce advertised was mayo. When I got it I noticed it had some sort of burger sauce on it which I really can't eat. Makes me feel sick, I hate sending stuff back but i was absolutely starving after travelling for a few hours and not eaten all morning but I just couldn't eat it so I asked as nice as i could if it could be changed to mayo as advertised on the menu which she was very polite and apologised when I got it back I noticed an unusual amount of mayo was on the burger took a bite out of it and noticed rather than them changing it they just added the mayo to the food that already had the burger sauce on. Ended up eating the burger without layer of cheese and the bun which wasn't exactly enjoyable. Please have a word with the chef to just double check the menu and to fix any issues that's his/her fault. We really enjoy coming for food here it'd be an absolute shame to have another bad experience and...
