Speckled Frogs Playcentre — Local services in Sefton

We visited Speckled Frogs with our 2 year old granddaughter last week. We have been to many soft play centres and we can say in total honesty that Speckled Frogs has been by far the best. Our granddaughter absolutely loved it from the moment we stepped in. The centre is geared to pre school children. Our granddaughter usually expects either myself or my husband to be with her all the time but at SFs, we didn’t see her for dust! We were able to sit and have a coffee in peace while she played happy as Larry!. She loved the slides in the soft play centres, loved the ball pool, dressing up station and we noticed the garden with lots of toys ( weather kept us inside). The cafe is reasonable and food is really good quality. Entry fee is £6.95 per child, parents go fee. We weren’t there for more than 5 minutes and the older lady at the counter asked my 10 year old born and bread English boy where his accent was from because she looked at me and decided I wasn’t British. I guess I need to carry my British passport with me everywhere I go now. My son doesn’t have an accent and even if he had it is inappropriate to ask him that. It is outrageous to put my child on the spot like that. My boy was so confused it broke my heart. My toddler was ready to leave after those few minutes which tells you everything you need to know about the place: nothing interesting there for him. I had to exit quickly as he’s not the most patient toddler otherwise I would have had some more words with the lady. I doubt it would have made any difference to her. Just home from our son’s 3rd birthday party and he has had a fantastic time. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Everything was taken care of and was 10/10, party plates, balloons figures mascots party bags and even an ice lolly when leaving. I was so impressed with the price for our package a complete bargain.
