So Salsa Crosby — Restaurant in Sefton

Went for tea on a Sunday evening, book ahead to ensure you get a table as due to how incredibly good this place is it gets busy!

It's small but tables are nicely spaced out. Menu has a very good selection of different tapas that are all well priced. Having been to So Salsa twice before, once here and once at the new place in town, we know our favourites.

As per usual they come as they're ready, we went for the mini fish and chips, patatas braves, chicken and chorizo paella, Stilton and brocoli croquettes, Korean chicken thighs and the special which was American style fried chicken. Needless to say all were pretty much perfect. We had our 14 mo th old with us and once the food had cooled enough she tucked into a bit of everything too.

Went for the wife's birthday on a Saturday. Food was absolutely gorgeous - loved it. We got 7x Tapas between 3 of us - me, the wife and our 10yr old - which was just about perfect, with filled churros to finish for the kid. Was the perfect amount for us, big appetites might want to consider 1 or 2 more tapas.

Joe looked after us - from calling earlier in the day to confirm our booking, to seating us and looking after us. Promoted the specials, of which we got one. He was spot on from start to finish.

Our little one enjoyed a few Mocktails - super tasty. All in - was just under £70 which I consider good value for how good it was. All in all, we loved it and will be going back again soon - good job So...

We had an absolutely amazing meal at So Salsa! The sea bass was beautifully cooked crispy skin, tender flesh, and bursting with fresh Mediterranean flavour on a delicious bed of tomato and pepper salsa. The fillet steak was perfection: juicy, full of flavour, and paired with creamy mash and wilted greens that brought it all together wonderfully.

The presentation was lovely, the portions were just right, and the food tasted as good as it looked. Everything was made with clear attention to quality and detail. Also loved the hand-cut chips on the side crisp outside, fluffy inside, just how they should be.
