Best pub in Sevenoaks, simple as that. As well as a top-drawer selection of ales at the lowest prices around The Anchor has the full range of amenities you'd expect 'the local' to have but so few still do; fresh food every day, live music at least twice a week, regular darts matches, television in a corner discreetly showing sport, even a meat raffle, as well as occasional specials, for example an authentic Greek meal van visiting once a month. None of this would work without personality and under the leadership of Barry, the biggest hearted landlord in the business, the staffs natural charm make this the friendliest and most welcoming pub you could hope to visit. I realise 'locals' are the bread and butter and you need them in these times, but they are going to be the reason people...

This is not a place for those who want to sit at a table and eat a three course meal in silence, it is a place for those who like good beer, and good conversation, in a friendly place. Not a pseudo restaurant, not a drinking warehouse, but a real pub. And a very...
