I'm not one to make reviews usually but I just cant get yesterday out my head. I use this subway often as its local it definitely has its ups and downs. But yesterday (27th aug 25) I went into store to grab my dinner and the atmosphere was awful!! You could cut the tension with a knife. I stood waiting for few minutes before even been acknowledged. In fact I even walked along from till to display fridges closer to where two young ladies was chatting away and still did not even say hello just carried on talking amongst themselves. Another young lady appeared from the back she looked very young black hair she greeted me with a big smile apologised for my wait and asked if she could help and she was sent away to go into back and finish her jobs with such an awful attitude from the two you ladies in front of shop. The young girl looked like she was going to burst into tears I felt so bad for her. I finally got served but the customer service was rather lacking made me feel like I shouldn't be there like I was interpreting them and was an inconvenience. It took far to long to make a simple sandwich all the while the two ladies carried on thier conversations in attempted whispers. It was very clear they was talking bad about the young girl in back. By the time I had been served and waited so long to receive my sandwich my dinner break was almost over. I just cant stop thinking about that poor young girl and her treatment, not sure what she did so wrong to be treated as such by her work colleagues but I no she hasn't worked there long. However today 18th June 2025 I entered the empty store at approx 08:25 with a cheery 'morning, only to be met with a mumbled something from the chap behind the counter (who didn't even make eye contact). He was making a tuna wrap and I watched whilst waiting. I continued to watch as he then started to make some Hash Brown things, then I continued to watch as he started to do something else. All the while he hadn't said one word to me, looked up or even told me that I may have to wait as he was making an order. I was standing there waiting and waiting for anything, a word or an smile etc. NOTHING. I am not an idiot and I know when people are unhappy and this guy looked pissed off and miserable, and he was incapable of even recognising that he had a customer. I could have said something, and I had long enough standing there to work out what to say, but in the end I just walked out and took my busines elsewhere. I'm not sure he even noticed. Terrible, he definitely needs some training to help him understand that without customers he wouldn't have a job. This store needs...
Read moreWorst Subway we've been to sadly. Seemed understaffed, even for a 7pm shift, struggling to fill orders for online and in store custom. Had run out of quite a lot of ingredients, so had to compromise with our order. Waited quite a while to be served, only for one staff member to disappear in back while the other filled online orders. After all that, the server failed to change gloves before filling my gluten free order, which is a pretty basic error on food safety. Thankfully, I am asymptomatic coeliac, but such an error could well cause issues for symptomatic coeliac people. Once food got to us, the marinara was like warm and my son's ham and cheese was inexplicably soggy.
Not usually one to leave a negative review, but this was just comedy from start to finish. Suggest more staff, more training on food hygiene and cross contamination and replenishment of ingredients. I will think twice about visiting this...
