The Turret House in Manor Castle was the house of Mary Queen of Scots for 13 years. You can visit it, enjoy dressing as a Renaissance noble and listen to the story of Bess of Hardwick Lady Shrewsbury directly from her mouth! A very down to earth local pub. Lovely land lady, always friendly and a smile. Favours the more mature clientele. If yer plays Doms, it could be fer you. Pool table int' back.
