Having had decent meals here before including boxing day last year tonight was a big disappointment the roast beef dinner was in fact 2 thin slices of packet beef not from a roast joint as expected potatoes were a sloppy mush & yorkshire puddings were the frozen kind previously had homemade ones. No stuffing or cranberry sauce with turkey either. My husband fared better with the fishcakes which he enjoyed. Starters ok desserts nothing to write home about. Children's meals took ages coming and had to chase up ice creams no starter so sat waiting try telling a 3yr old she has to wait. All in all a big disappointment obvious waiting staff didn't want to be there. Tried asking for a coffee but told machine out of order (jury out on that one) Party of 9 adults 2 children will be going elsewhere next year on this showing (last year couldn't have desserts due to staff wanting to leave) as stared overall a disappointing meal out

As of February still not responded to our complaint very disappointing customer service all I wanted was some some sort of apology/explanation as to why our meals were quite frankly awful on this occasion will not...

Went as a party of 22 for a pre Christmas family get together/remembrance meal. Managed to accommodate such a large party with ease and we all ordered from various menus. Asked for our preorder to be sent a week before our booking date but due to my error (thank you ADHD!!) they only got it the evening before but despite that every meal was bang on as we had ordered. Staff were friendly and food came out hot. Only feedback would be that some of us had almost finished our meals as others were just getting theirs and that the fries on some meals were undercooked and greasy - we put that down to there being so many of us and the kitchen probably trying to get the food out to us all together, minor issue really when everything else was spot on. Our booking was at 5pm on a Saturday night and we didn’t leave until 8pm, we didn’t feel rushed or in the way. Used to love this place and have been for several if not more meals here which were always quality pub grub in which you got in abundance. Visited for the first time since under new management which was for my son has a birthday treat for 6 of us pre booked. Turned up was left waiting like spare parts. When WE approached the bar staff the owner seated us at a filthy table with a pile of salt on the floor. Then we got told there was no chicken left on the menu has they had been busy and the not much else left! Choosing frm the sparse menu we were then presented with our drinks. Can't be sure if the barman slammed the drinks down on purpose or they genuinely slipped frm his hand. When the food arrived every dish was way below average in tiny quantities and oddly piled high with salad rocket? Maybe to try and compensate for the lack of food or to replace ingredients they had ran out of. Way overpriced for the quality and amount of food you receive.
