Wong Ting to leave at least 1 positive comment about eating here, the only thing I can say is the exit was clear!

When you have kids, with a 5yr old that will eat just about anything, ( including fruit pastille sweets she dropped on the car floor a week ago) that left hungry as she food the food disgusting (she wasnt wrong there). Along with a 9yr old who gave me that desperate "can we just not leave" having sat at the table 20 minutes before a drink order taken, then 10 mins later a drink literally thrown onto the table with force that about a quarter sloshed out over the table. Another 5 mins later a starter order taken, followed by another 20 minute wait for food which we wernt actually is.what we ordered, duck pancakes that looked like leftovers from another table, no sauce or accompaniments and a random dish that arrived after the other starters plates were taken away.

At this point I was more than ready to just get up and walk out! But having 2 over hungry girls I opted to stick it out to the mains.

ANOTHER mistake as further disgusting food came, including VERY overcooked rice which was so solidly clumped together it could have been used as a weapon Im sure, and the sweet and sour chicken where the chicken was so rock solid my daughter was convinced she was biting a bone (she wasnt)

Our favourite part of the night was in sight, we got up to leave, totally disappointed, to find another table complaining to management, threatening not to pay as a result, with a staff member blockading the top of the stairs to the exit, until they reached an agreement of 50%, I didnt have the energy to argue and just wanted.to pay and get out.

Im guessing it was the manager who apologised for us witnessing the confrontation with the other table, I had to respond stating I wasn't suprised as it was disgusting, to which he responded why. As I began to inform of our experience he just argued and gave rubbish excuses (we were busy and had a big table in, sorry but thats NO excuse for treating other customers so poorly and serving inedible food after increased waiting times)

Both myslef and my 9yr old rank this as "the worst meal out ever"

The following week as a snack I gave my 5yr old some prawn crackers and party sausages and joked its just like a chineese meal without the sauce, to which she instantly responded "Well its definitely better than what we had last week! 😀 I laughed, but couldnt help thinking how right she was.

How this restaurant has any positive reviews I will never know. One thing is certain, if you are in Sheffield and feeling hungry and this was the only place open, I would still...

Dont even know where to begin. We went to this restaurant today (Me, husband and my 3 yr old daughter). 1st I went to ask if they have a table available to which they said it will be half an hour waiting and I said thats fine, can you please book a table for us from next half an hour (it would be 7) and then I went downstairs. I came back upstairs and he said it will be half an hour (if should have been 10 mins as I cam back after 20 mins). They gave tables to other people who came after us but not to us. We waited half an hour and asked about 3 waiters that we are ready to order but no one wanted to take the order. Finally after ordering to one of most rude staff, we waited for our starters however they came out quickly but only 2 of them (out of 3), we had to remind them to get the 3rd starter. Then we had to remind them for the main course a few times and most of the staff just ignores you there as if you are not talking sense. There was a problem at another table as they were complaining about the food and service so all the staff got busy there. Eventually food came out, average at best and of course over priced. There is no children's menu so you have to order a big meal for kids. Then after eating a bit (because by then we were frustrated and wanted to get out), we went to the till to make a payment. Bill was incorrect and there were a few alcoholic drinks on the bill which we did not order and the prices of the food were incorrect. When I questioned about it, they were adamant that the prices are correct and I had to show them on the menu. For drinks I had to prove somehow that it was not us who ordered the drinks (most bizarre). They went to our table to check the glasses. Staff at the till had to get 3 tries to correct the bill. When the manager / owner came to the till, I just politely said that you guys need to do something about the customer service to which he snapped and aid I dont want to argue with you and I dont need your opinion. Other table was being an idiot so I dont need it from you too. I was absolutely shocked at this reaction. He was just so rude and ill mannered. If you enjoy being ill treated, this place is definitely for you else dont...

After hearing good things about the restaurant we visited with our baby, our friends and their baby. The food was really nice although it took a long time to get our orders and our mains. The host/manager was extremely over friendly but rude to the point where we were uncomfortable, he had asked to hold our 7 month old baby to which we said kindly ‘oh no she doesn’t like to be picked up’ and he just picked her up out of her high chair anyway to which we were appalled & my partner had to take her off him! After that he went to pick up the other baby to which our friends said ‘no leave him where he is please’ and he held out his arms to the baby to try & pick him up anyway and had to be firmly told AGAIN ‘no leave him where he is I don’t want you to pick him up’ to which he started laughing and tried to pick him up a 3rd time and was firmly told again to STOP. This made us very uncomfortable, he may have only tried to be friendly but we found it very rude that he wouldn’t listen to us, he absolutely stunk horrid of cigarettes and had dirty fingernails, and every so often would circle our table and stroke the babies’ faces and kept interrupting us. I felt like even though the food was wonderful it ruined our whole experience as we were focused on keeping him away from our young children! After having our starters he kept telling the waiters ‘give them more time they aren’t ready’ even though we repeatedly asked to order mains and the staff just wouldn’t come until his say so! On the table next to us there were a large family with another young child who was having a small argument with her dad, he went over to their table and picked up her chair and said he would sit her at her own table in the corner on her own if she carried on, the family looked appalled & weren’t happy with him either. We definitely won’t be returning, the service completely...
