My granddaughter and I were travelling up to Gt Yarmouth last Friday 22/4/22 from Oxford so Caxton Gibbet makes and ideal place to stop. We normally use McDonalds but on this occasion decided to have a pizza instead having previously seen Perfect Meals. Of course I expected to pay a little extra for pizza but I have to say this was well worth it. For 2 x 10" pizzas, 4 garlic breads, a cup of tea and a tin of coke was just under £25 if I remember rightly. I explained my allergy to poultry so swapped this for a meat option. The waiting time for a freshly prepared and cooked pizza was about 10 - 15 minutes which was I consider acceptable. I found the staff both friendly and polite and honest. To explain the last point on leaving I left by mistake a £1 coin on the seat, the man who had served us picked it up and gave it straight back to me, I in turn put it and some more change in their tips tin.
I have to say it was one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time. I think next time we might have 8" as 10" was a little too big for both of us and a doggy bag was asked for and supplied.
We make frequent trips up to GtY either taking or bringing back the in-laws so will definately be calling in there again.
In conclusion I would commend this restaurant to anyone wanting something better than McDonalds. Thank you for maiing our break an enjoyable one.

Read morePassing by and about to go into McDonalds next door, but spotted this place and decided to give it a go. Well what can I say it was the right choice, I really enjoyed my experience and food at this place. I was greeted in a professional and friendly manner when walking in what’s always a good start. After checking out the extensive range of the menu I decided to go for the mini fish and chip meal. Small Fish, Small Chips along with curry sauce or mushy peas all for £4.95. I went for the curry sauce what was a good choice it was thick and great for dipping, no watery stuff like you find at some place. This place sells pizza and pasta along with loads of other stuff but that did not take away the authentic fish and chip shop style, this is a proper fish and chips shop. Back to the size of my meal, it was marked up as a small lunch meal, it was more than big enough for lunch, even for dinner I would be happy with the size. Service was quick and enjoyable. I will be sure to go...
Read moreHappened upon this place when passing through, hungry kids in the car so thought we would check it out. When I arrived I asked about the pizzas, the chef told me they were the best pizzas around with fresh dough made daily and none of the usual gmt rubbish in them and they they were not greasy. We ordered three different pizzas and I have to say they loved up to exactly what the chef said. They were absolutely delicious, so full of flavour, not a drip of grease to be found and the dough was so delicious that you could have eaten it on it's own, cooked to perfection!. They put pizza hut and dominos to shame and without a doubt, the best pizzas I have ever had. 100% will be returning and if you like pizza, I urge...
