Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in South Cambridgeshire

As someone who travels a lot and often eats in various supermarket cafes this has to be the worst experience I’ve had.

I ordered breakfast for 1. It took an hour to arrive (see pics for time on receipt and shot of watch when food arrived). I had no warning that it was going to take so long to prepare one meal. Had I been advised of an hours delay I would not have ordered.

When the food did arrive the eggs were overcooked. The bacon was so hard that I literally could not cut through it with the cutlery provided. A steak knife would likely have struggled. The ‘toast’ was basically bread that had been threatened with heat.

Really a very disappointing experience and certainly will not bother...

Tesco café is a reasonable, pleasant place to visit. The food is consistent - consistently mediocre, unfortunately. The breakfasts are below par, my fiance has sent a couple back unfortunately, due to being undercooked. There are a few plusses - the staff, in general, are polite & friendly, others are not as welcoming, though, and it is clean & tidy. The con's - pretty pricey for what is served & the quality of said food, and the menu is very limited. Overall - a nice place to eat for a quick bite or bowl of chips. But, if you are looking for anything else, I'd recommend the Gog's café, which is a couple...

Fantastic customer service, the Manager himself was serving at the till plus making everyone's drinks, then he even came and collected the tray while asking if my food was okay!!! Staff member who was cooking the hot food also brought it out to the table. Seriously impressed!! Good food (had a breakfast) was very filling, very good value. A lot lot better since it had gone downhill, food and customer service 200% better, will recommend to everyone 😊 Thank you to the Café Manager...
