Street BBQ Food-Van — Restaurant in Cambridge

Well we are gutted we only just found this and moving very shortly away from the area. We planned to go to are regular places that we go to often. But after this banquet size portions we said we would come back . He did say we will be back. This is the cleanest take away van I have ever seen and I am a old fart so seen plenty. The food is all fresh the lamb is to die for. As was the chicken. And the chips. There is nothing to moan about and the owner is very pleasant and polite. We couldn't eat it all as there was that much. But fear not it will be going down my chops later. We fill this is a lot better than the standard pub mill road and cheaper. And we USE to go there a lot.It must be hard for this guy to keep prices reasonable as any one would know how much the food shop is going up, seems like every time you go. Tried the chicken box and the mixed chicken and lamb box. Both were delicious. Succulent thigh pieces of chicken is used and the home made marinade is one of the best chicken I have tasted. Best Greek food in Cambridge by far.

The boxes contain a bit of everything (salad, coleslaw, aioli sauce, tzatziki sauce, crispy chips, gyros bread, jalapenos etc). I great all round healthy meal at a reasonable price.

Great friendly service from the owner too. Having spoken to the owner, everything is freshly made each day and you can tell when you eat it. All the sauces and the taste of the home made marinaded chicken and lamb was delicious!

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Street BBQ Food Van to Heathlands House Care Home during our Staff Appreciation Week, and we couldn’t be more impressed! The quality of the food was outstanding – full of rich, smoky flavours and cooked to perfection. Every bite was a treat, and our team is still talking about it!

What made the experience even more special was the generous spirit of the owner, who came out to support our staff with such warmth and friendliness. It meant a lot to us to have someone take the time to make our team feel appreciated, and the delicious food was the cherry on top.
